About this house rental
A perfect river retreat, only 100 metres to the riverside bike and walking trail. This two-storey holiday home is the perfect base for a relaxing escape and all your river and beach activities. Perfect for relaxing, reading, birdwatching, picnics, swimming, boating, outdoor adventures, and eating & drinking with family & friends. Walk or ride your bike to Goolwa main street or Goolwa Wharf to enjoy the local distillery and brewery, coffee, food and markets.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a walk-in robe and ensuite.
There are two living spaces for big families to enjoy.
Garden with outdoor seating available.
Enjoy meals and drinks on either the front or rear deck- or on the lawn in the garden.
There's even room to park your boat!
1 min walk to riverbank- from there, a bike and walking path leads into town and beyond (including to encounter bay bike trail for those who like stunning coastal bike rides).
2 min drive to Goolwa main street.
5 min drive (5km) to Goolwa beach.
Pets negotiable. Well behaved dogs allowed outside in fully fenced backyard. Please inform us if you are bringing your pet. Please note: wood heater/fireplace is not to be used. There are heaters for your comfort instead.
3 night minimum for long weekends, 4 night minimum for Easter period, and 5 night min for Xmas/New Year period.

Was comfortable and suited our needs
Only problem was lack of hot water which we never noticed until we were trying to shower before leaving

Perhaps one pivotal suggestion, if we may?
As a place of staycation, a BBQ would be a great idea!
Generally speaking people do plan (at least) one while away on a break!
We could see that improvements were happening: painting, new curtains etc...lovely!
...but perhaps, as the upstairs bedroom is all white, and a little bright (that) block out curtains are considered?
...while the tv could also be wall mounted for easier viewing?
A great 5 days away was had in a great spot!
