Cherish your hot summer days, cool summer nights, and the nights' sky from your private heated swimming pool or take a short walk to the beach access to explore the Atlantic Ocean.
The subdivision of Poteskeet features a private beach access and is conveniently located close to Downtown Duck and the Duck Town Park. Park amenities include a soundside boardwalk, amphitheater, public kayak/canoe launch, picnic shelter, playground, gazebo, walking trails and summer events. A seven-mile long multi-use path is located on the east side of Duck Road and provides a scenic and safe recreational venue for visitors to enjoy. Pedestrians, bicyclists and in-line skaters share the Duck Trail. This delightful home is just a short walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the shops and restaurants.

We just returned from a fantastic stay at Happy Go Ducky. The house has so much traditional OBX cottage charm and the owners have done a great job making sure it is well equipped; extra fuzzy blankets in the bedrooms, extra games in the bedroom closet, charcoal grill accessories, plenty of pots and pans, pool floats, beach cart, small mini fridge on the bottom floor for easy access to drinks while at the pool, boogie boards. The list goes on and on. We would sit on the top deck at night and watch the shooting stars while listening to live music from town and swam in the perfectly maintained pool every afternoon. (The pool guy was awesome and came mid week to check on the pool and hot tub) Our only complaint is that by the end of the week we noticed that the freezer had trouble maintaining temperature. Our bags of ice were melting and refreezing as a puddle in the bottom of the freezer. Other than that, our stay was perfect! Thanks for a great week!

Happy Go Ducky is a nice house. There are some things that would improve it: the stones around the pool under the house make it really hard to walk on barefoot to access the shower; putting a hose or spigot by the downstairs door would facilitate rinsing sand off when coming from the beach (due to stones being so uncomfortable), perhaps a different coffee table that is more pet and child friendly. The bath on the 2nd level which is shared by 6 people or so for showers is seriously lacking in places to hang all the towels and wet bathing suits. Furnishings and atmosphere are wonderful: bright and sunny. The deck is wonderful and I would love to love the screened porch but the air is quite still there (perhaps a ceiling fan?)

We had a lovely stay. This was our first time to the outer banks but we will be back and using your rental company. The house was perfect and had all the amenities we needed. It was close to everything so we didn't need to drive much. We are very happy with our stay. Thank you!

The house has bugs. The first night one guest was attacked in the night in her bed. Maintenance response great. Kitchen had bad ants. We lost food that was left out. Some screens so could not open at night. Hot tub so hot could not use. Could not set temp. Otherwise, nice house. Boardwalk just down the street. No yard at all for the dogs.
