Perched on 1 acre on the East side of Roundhead Mountain, its namesake, Roundhead Mountain Lodge, is a beautiful, newly-renovated chalet offering spectacular, panoramic views of the Shenandoah National Park across the Ida, Pine Grove and Tanners Ridge. With pine paneling throughout, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 of which are master suites with 15-foot vaulted ceilings, along with a large wraparound deck, and upstairs balcony, you will be in the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The Master Spa hot tub is conveniently located on the deck where you may contemplate the idyllic surroundings and benefit from its exclusive therapy features: Stress Relief Neck Seat, Bio-Magnetic therapy system, among others. And, of course, you will be a stone’s throw from the many activities that the Shenandoah valley and its national parks have to offer.
A Video Surveillance camera monitors the exterior parking/driveway of our home. A photo of what is monitored can be seen in the photos. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy/pets and other policies noted in our lease agreement.

You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. AWD or 4WD vehicles are required. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

We had a great time at the Roundhead Mountain Cabin. The hot tub sunset views were spectacular! The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and cozy. The only caution I can offer is the road up to the cabin -- It rained on us one day, and even in a 4x4 SUV, it was an intense effort to get up and down from the cabin due to the ruts on the dirt road. The communication from the property manager was immediate and helpful with a problem we experienced. I would stay here again if we go out to the area.

We had an amazing time. It was clean, cozy, remote, and the view was beautiful. The hot tub was in the perfect position on the deck to enjoy the view. We really enjoyed our getaway.

I really enjoyed staying in this updated yet rustic cabin. It was about a 50 minute drive to Shenandoah national park (don't be deceived by maps you gotta drive around the mountain haha). A perfect amount of space to host all of my friends comfortably and a good outdoor space.The only real issues we had was the drive up to the cabin, the road is a hot mess express, but that is expected in the mountains just know you need 4 wheel or all wheel drive a taller car. (Unless they fix the road by then. Any complaints were quickly resolved or talked over with the management company which was great!

We liked the house but the road bringing us in was in terrible shape. My son had to rent a Tacoma. The grass was knee high at the front steps and fire pit. There was no propane on sight. The hot tub was great and so was the house. Seems poorly maintained on the outside.
