About this cottage rental
This perfect little getaway is just a short walking distance from the beach and a few minutes drive from everything the Gulf Coast has to offer! The cottage was renovated in 2018 with no expenses spared. The interior of the home expresses those eclectic qualities expected from a renovated antique cottage such as beadboard ceilings, heart pine floors, cypress cabinets, and stained glass windows. The home features two small bedrooms containing queen beds, one bathroom, a living area (w/pull out couch), high end kitchen, and delightful porches. The home is preferably placed in West Gulfport, south of the "tracks" as we locals say. This lends easy access both east and west along Highway 90.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast is a locale rich with fascinating history that has become a melting pot of culinary expression and regional customs. The intent of The Oyster Shack is to share the many joys of the Coast that my family holds dear with those that wish to experience the "Coasty" way of life.
NOTE: This property features a Ring Doorbell device located beside the front door. The camera actively records video and sound when motion is detected by the device or when the video doorbell button is pressed.
NOTE: In an effort to maintain the yard to the highest quality groundskeeping takes place weekly at the discretion of the landscape contractor.

The kitchen was my favorite part. I love cooking and I had about everything there that I would use. I loved having a dishwasher as I don't have one at home. I loved having a stove top counter, a separate oven and a microwave oven within reach. The bathroom was good but needs a grab bar for those that need it and a bath mat in the tub. We would prefer a table with chairs vs stools.We really enjoyed the outside fire pit and the Green Egg grill. This is centrally located near everything we wanted to do. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here or in Gulfport in general. Having the sound box in the bedroom was a big plus. Overall it was a great stay
