About this house rental
This listing consists of two separate 3 bedroom / 2 bath homes as part of a very large 3 story home that is located just over a mile from downtown Durango and 24 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort. Each home has its a separate entrance and there is plenty of street parking (no meters) and offstreet parking.
The homes also feature a private hot tub and yard as well as fully stocked kitchens and the usual amenities expected from a vacation rental (washer/dryer, fast WIFI, BBQ etc.). The home on the top floor features AC while the home on the bottom floor stays plenty cool since its functions like a basement. The owners are an older couple who live on the middle floor of the 3 story home when they are not traveling but have a completely separate entrance.

Our home is NOT pet friendly due to severe allergies. This includes service animals in accordance with ADA standards and compliance restrictions related to severe allergies.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

This was a fantastic home. We used both the top and bottom rental, both of which are fantastic and easy to get from one to the other. Downstairs we had four adults and four kids and the space was great for them to play.UPstairs had 4 adults. Location was great, wonderful deck to sit on and backyard with playhouse for the kids. About 1 mile walk to coffee,etc. Owners are fantastic! We will definitely stay again.

It was exactly the size and location I was looking for and served well to house my whole group. The one thing that was unclear was that the rental includes a top, 3rd floor, and a lower floor, while the ground level floor is occupied, so we did not realize our noise could be disruptive to anybody at first. Once we learned this we kept it down, but I wish we had known ahead of time.

I would have liked to give this place five stars because it’s a beautiful well maintained home, however we dealt with a lot of privacy issues. The management company, Vacation Rental Collective, deserves five stars as they were great to deal with. We have two small emotional support animals and they were very supportive as long as we paid the extra dog fees. However, we did not know the owners occupied the middle level of the home, and that noise would be a problem. We were on vacation for my fathers 70th birthday party and got a house for privacy. The owners checked on us every day and monitored things we did around the house such as using the hot tub and even walking our dogs. We only left our dogs once at the house when the whole family went to the hot springs, and one of our dogs howled while we were gone and the owners left us a note. Although that is understandable, we got a house for that reason. Also, the owners were not quiet themselves. One of the owners is apparently a preacher, and on Sunday night at 9 p.m. was giving a loud sermon. My family in the lower level said this kept them up for an hour and a half. This is completely unacceptable as we paid about $9,000 to be here for the week and had to deal with all the privacy issues. The owners are very nice people, but I think they should plan to be away while people occupy the property. Overall, we were unable to relax and enjoy privacy on our trip, and for many of us we don’t get that many vacations a year. For the price we paid for the home we expected a much more enjoyable vacation.
