We are block off a main thoroughfare (Cortez Rd). Bradenton/Sarasota airport (SRQ) is approximately 15 minutes away and Tampa airport (TPA) approximately 50 minutes away.
Other Things to Note:
Excellent location just a few minutes to Anna Maria Island. Many awesome restaurants, shops and activities nearby, including boating, fishing, jet skiing, golfing and some of the best seafood you have ever had! Cortez is one of the oldest active fishing villages in Florida! The fishing boats park just up the road making the seafood the freshest you can get!

I’ve stayed at many places before in this area, this was far quite the most enjoyable stay I’ve had in this area. The accommodations were fantastic, so many things to do for the family. Also it was only 5 min drive to the beach. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again. Drew

We had a last minute issue with our booking on another app and had to scramble to find new accommodations. We reached out to John even though the property wasn’t showing as available that night. They were able to get us in the same day and made everything so easy. The house was great and as advertised. Many thanks for their willingness to stay at the house before they were quite ready. Very thankful.

This is our second time here! We had eight adults and one child, two years old. We gave my son, daughter-in-law and their toddler (2) son the master bedroom at the back of the house. We rented a crib and as weird as it sounds, we put the crib in closet with the door open. The closet is two feet from the bed so my grandson could feel close to his parents in a strange location. I brought paint-safe removable wall stickers to liven up the closet a little.🙃 The only downside to that was we couldn’t use the bathroom in that room when the baby was sleeping. I believe the listing says the home sleeps 10-12. Note that there are three beds, a pullout sofa and two air mattresses. The linen closet is well stocked with towels, pool towels and sheets/pillow cases/comforters. The laundry room is in the house. It is wonderful and is offered at no additional cost. The pool is terrific and has several noodles and kid toys most likely left by previous renters. Being less than ten minutes away from the beautiful public beach, we thought we would go to the beach more than we did. There was no need to go through all of that when you have the pool right there! The game room right off the pool area was a huge hit! Huge fridge, retro video game table, air hockey and pool. If I had to wish for anything, it would be an additional bathroom and a grab bar in the smaller bathroom tub. All those people and two bathrooms was a little challenging but nothing to deter us from coming back next year!
