Salty Mermaid- Gorgeous 2BR/2BA. Pet Friendly
***Construction is ongoing at the Maravilla. This unit is not located in a construction area and view is not affected by current construction!***
Enjoy fantastic views from this sister condo to the Dancing Mermaid, perfect for large family and friend gatherings. The unit features an in-unit washer and dryer, coastal-inspired décor, and comfortably accommodates eight guests with two king-sized beds and overhead twin beds (bunks) in the secondary bedroom. The beautiful, open kitchen includes a breakfast bar and is fully equipped with full-size appliances, including a wine rack. The kitchen is also stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans, glasses, coffee makers (both drip and Keurig), and cooking utensils. Please note that there may be some variations in furnishings or decor since the photographs were taken.
The property has wonderful amenities to discover and enjoy while staying at Salty Mermaid. Three pools (one of which is heated), a hot tub, poolside grills, picnic tables, chaise loungers and poolside seating...as well as a volleyball area...all in a relaxing tropical setting. Additional outdoor activities include ping-pong and bean bag toss.
Due to the ongoing construction and in the interest of Safety, the Maravilla business office will be located in unit 121. This is where you will need to go to pay your parking.
A parking fee must be paid to Maravilla office upon arrival. The office does not accept cash. Parking Rules and prices are as follows:
1) Parking Rates will be set at $10.00 per car per day PLUS Sales tax
2) Trailers (Motorcycle) will be charged the same rate as cars and are limited to special event weekends such as Biker Rally Weekend. No other time are trailers of any sort allowed to be parked at Maravilla.
3) Per day rates will be capped after $70.00 per 30 day time period, and the per day rate will start over again on the 31st day.
Galveston is an amazing and fun community! There are so many different things to do and see...there truly is something for everyone. Within walking distance of Dancing Mermaid, you'll find go-carts and miniature golf, fishing and dining at Jimmy's on the Pier, batting cages, and our local movie theater. Moody Gardens Golf Course is located nearby, as is the entire Moody Gardens experience and our world-famous waterpark, Schlitterbahn. In town, enjoy one of many fabulous restaurants that offer everything from fine dining to international cuisine to some of the best burgers around. If shopping is your thing, visit The Strand and Post Office where quaint shops and art galleries abound. You won't want to miss Mod Coffeehouse or Hey, Mikey's Ice Cream! The Grand 1894 Opera House offers some of the best entertainment and shows in Texas, featuring headliners from across the country, as well as an historic setting for live theatre. And, we love our festivals and special events here in Galveston! Mardi Gras, Lone Star Biker Rally, Dickens on the Strand, and the numerous triathlons, marathons and walk-a-thons are popular events throughout the year. Bird watching, kayaking, and fishing of all kinds round out the many outdoor activities enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike.
We welcome our guests and work diligently to make their experience at Salty Mermaid memorable. However, we only rent to adults over the age of 25 and families. Maravilla is one of only a few "pet friendly" properties in Galveston. Home is dog friendly for up to 2 pets. $100.00 non-refundable fee for the 1st pet and $50 non-refundable fee for the 2nd pet. 25lb limit. No cats allowed. Guest must contact our office prior to arrival to make arrangements for payment of pet fee and/or signature on a pet addendum.. We do ask that all property rules regarding pets are strictly followed.Photo identification is required. All fees and services may be subject to 15% tax.

Very nice condo. Had issues with primary bedroom being too warm since the upper windows do not have blinds or curtains. Sunny all week and the sun made the room warmer than the rest of the condo. To get the primary room cooled down we had to lower the thermostat which caused the rest of the condo to be very cold. Minor issues like towel hooks falling off the doors and sink faucet handles falling off but all in all the stay was very nice. The condo is decorated well and there is plenty of room for a family. Towels, blankets, and beach items are all supplied. Washer dryer in the unit was very convenient having a toddler and after many trips to the pool. We visited the pool daily. Will stay at this condo again in the future. Mgt. should consider blinds for upper windows and black out curtains for lower windows.

This is a gorgeous condo. It looks just like in the pictures. We really appreciated all the little touches (blankets for the living room, beach towels). We vacationed in July and didn't use the deck very much, but we would love to go back in the fall or spring because the deck was just amazing. It would be so lovely to have coffee or dinner out there. My only criticism was that the water pressure in the master shower was not very good. Everything else was perfect. I highly recommend this condo.

We just loved this unit. Beautiful renovations, wonderful patio and view of the pool. Beds were comfortable in bedrooms and grounds were lovely for the kids to enjoy the pool.

Very nice condo! Nicely remodeled. Very clean! Love the tall ceilings and bunk beds were a hit for our small daughters! Would have been nice to have a cross walk closer by so not playing Frogger to get to the ocean! Pet friendly is a plus. There is an above unit that was loud when walking or rolling toys beware! Great to have hot tub and heated pool since was chilly. We wish the pool would open before 10am.The TVs in bunk beds and lights on stairs to bunk beds not working. Both bathroom sinks have reverse temperatures. Both showers had poor to no water pressure. Shower closest to laundry had no in between temperature, either hot or cold. Ice makers was producing a white powder so just pulled straight out of freezer. Need glass plates to use microwave. The entire building needs to be redone as it is outdated. Tacky that there is a massive dumpster in the middle of parking lot near the building—should put in corner instead. And would have been helpful to know there is a beach wagon, chairs, umbrella, and beach toys for guests. But hey it was really nice!
