Wij zijn hier met twee kinderen twee weken op vakantie geweest. Heerlijke tuin met een mega mooi uitzicht. We hadden een zwembadje meegenomen wat heerlijk is daar.Helaas kun je daar in de omgeving niet zwemmen alleen in het zwembad bij hotel il Boschetto in Pistoia.Geen peuterbadje aanwezig Stranden zijn een eind uit de buurt en veel hiervan is prive eigendom. Wij hebben vanaf hier Pisa en Lucca bezocht wat prima te doen is. Ook hebben we een grote hangbrug ontdekt in Ponte sospeso di San Marcello Piteglio . Prachtige plek om heen te gaan. Luciana deelt graag haar bakkunsten uit. Salades koeken jam. Noem het maar op erg leuke meneer en mevrouw. Heel behulpzaam en als er iets aan de hand is wordt het opgelost. Mevrouw gebruikt veel de vertaalapp wat perfect werkt. Engels kunnen ze nagenoeg niet. Handdoeken liggen er. Wel handig om te weten is dat je ze zelf moet uitwassen. Er staat een wasmachine. Super handig. Koffiezetapparaat en oven en magnetron ook aanwezig. Wij hebben veel last gehad van muggen. Niks hielp er tegen. Wel handig om rekening mee te houden als je daar heen wilt. Er hangen dingen die het tegen moeten gaan alleen heeft dit niet het gewenste effect. Toen wij thuis kwamen kregen wij bultjes op de benen. Na wat speurwerk zijn wij er achter gekomen dat dit zeer waarschijnlijk betwantsen waren. Wij zullen dit nog doorgeven aan belvilla zodat dit opgelost gaat worden. En er zijn veel mieren in het huis aanwezig. Dat heb je op het platteland he! Kortom: Wij hebben genoten van deze accommodatie.

Goede ontvangst, huisje is wat moeilijk te vinden maar we belden en werden begeleid. Lekkere plek maar het huis is wel erg donker (oud huisje dus weinig en kleine ramen). Airco aanwezig op de slaapkamers maar elders in het huis in de zomer erg warm. Internet is niet geweldig dus als je daar van afhankelijk bent is het wel improviseren. Wifi is namelijk enkele in 1 hoek van het huis te ontvangen; elders heb je niks.

Een vakantie om niet snel te vergeten! de eigenaar zorgt ervoor dat het je aan niets ontbreekt!! van een warme appeltaart op zondagochtend tot zelfgemaakte pasta als lunch, het hield niet op!! het huis is prima, mooie tuin, schoon, airco op de slaapkamers. Bekende plaatsten zijn goed te bereiken. Kortom een aanrader.

The highlight of the property is the view overlooking Pistoia where we spent many hours on the patio enjoying the beauty and serenity. On the other hand, we had a few surprises regarding the VRBO. The property listing does not indicate that the bedrooms are on a third floor accessed by a narrow spiral staircase. We would not have rented the property if we had known this as we are in our late 60's and getting our luggage up that stair was a challenge. Also, the mattresses and pillows were in extremely bad shape. The king bed sloped on both sides so much that it was very uncomfortable for two people and the twin beds weren't much better and definitely not fit for an adult. We had to layer blankets on top of the mattresses so they wouldn't be so hard. The last issue is the bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is off the entryway and kitchen (2 floors from the bedrooms) and only had a shower sticking out of the wall that was not enclosed. There was no place to put towels, toiletries, etc. in the bathroom to keep them dry. It was fine as a powder room but not as a second shower bathroom for guests. Please note that at the end of the road on the VRBO listing map you still have to drive another kilometer up a steep and winding narrow road which has 8 switchbacks to maneuver. We stayed at the VRBO for 4 weeks and adjusted to the quirkiness but found it to be charming and peaceful.
