We have been renting homes for over a decade and The Gamehaus is the best house we've ever stayed in. The game room, and living room/dining area allowed for everyone to hang out together comfortably, while having a blast. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan, and the ice machine was a life saver. Hot tub was clean and the kids loved it. You definitely need the golf cart to taxi people to beach by The Crab Trap. Its not a long commute, but you dont want to carry things to it. We would also use one of our vehicles for beach chairs, tents, toys, etc. If you get up there by 930 am, you can usually get a spot set up, leave your vehicle, and drive the cart back to bring people up later. You do have to compete for spots after 10 am though, but we all took turns sitting in the cart until we could park.Shopping centers and golf courses within 10 minutes. Publix and Walmart were always stocked. We hung out at the pool by the lake every afternoon and never even saw anyone else. Cant say enough about the house and any questions we had were answered immediately via text. It was a great trip.

We had 23 people from our family stay there. We would have preferred to have one more bedroom. Also the game room downstairs was in our opinion a waist of space utilization, a bedroom and bathroom could easily be added in the basement. Nearness to public access to the beach was terrific. Laundry was great. Hot tub was great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the HOA amenities and golf cart. Quiet street. Near everything in Destin and airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay and plan to return next year! The host always responded promptly! The house was clean and spacious! We took advantage of having access to the golf cart which we used to make the short 2 minute ride to the beach. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the pool along with the volleyball sand court, the basketball goal and the pickleball courts. The grandchildren loved all of the activities being so close yet having our privacy. We did most of our meals on the second floor for convenience and space. There were lots of pots and pans for us to do cooking and we certainly made the most of it! The five bedrooms were perfect for the families we have. The elevator was a nice addition. We used the propane grill for a couple of meals. It was nice to sit out on the balcony and drink coffee. There was a washer and dryer on the first floor and another on the third floor. We put them to good use! I highly recommend them especially if you have teenagers or pre-teens that are very active and interested in outdoor activities!

The size, layout and location of the property is excellent. The property is in need of some general maintenance though. After we arrived we found a large wet spot on the carpet in one of the bedrooms, not sure what it was or how it got there. Following that we discovered cockroaches in the same room as well in the basement, garage, etc. We sent a note to the host and while the communication was fast from the host, it took a couple days for someone to get out to look at the property. They had a guy come out and spray for the bugs as well but each day we had to dispose of more cockroaches from inside the house. While this didn't ruin the trip for us, it certainly wasn't a pleasant experience for us as some members of our party opted to sleep on the couch in lieu of sleeping in the bedroom with the wet floor and cockroaches. We still enjoyed the beach and had a good time while we were there but the experience with the house put a bit of a damper on it.
