Casa del Bosque Tayrona

Beautiful accommodation in the middle of the jungle! You will be woken up with the sounds of the birds and howler monkeys. The view is wonderful, the breakfast very satisfactory and the bed super comfortable and huge ! Yuli, the girl helping there, was very kind to us and let us use the kitchen to cook. She was not always there but this has more to do with the host than with Yuli I suppose.

The cats and dogs on the property seem to be always hungry, and it should be a priority for the host to take better care of them. We also messaged her about a cat that seems to be excluded by the other cats and was starving, asking her to give her some food that we bought and left for her and there was no answer at all to our message. Please look at the pictures attached and feed this lovely baby cat if you go there - she is so so sweet and cuddly but struggling with hunger and thirst that poor thing ! Communication with the host/people working there is not always working. A couple of times there was no one in the property and we didn’t get replies to our messages.

In the middle of the forest, very clean, quiet and peaceful with nice ocean views from the bungalow. Breakfast was excellent and we felt right at home.

We loved it all! Would recommend to arrive early since the 20min walk through the forest to get to the accommodation is challenging in the dark.

I loved waking up with the howler monkeys, the delicious breakfast and the lovely couple who took care of us. The location was secluded and the views and the breezes were the most beautiful i have ever seen.

This was the highlight of my trip to South America. I only wish that I had come here first.

A unique location, stylish accommodation and friendly service. All the rooms are lovely but it’s worth paying extra for one of the bigger rooms if available - the views are incredible.
