Really quiet location and perfect for a getaway from the City rush.
It needs a really good clean, toilet had lots of splash-back dirt from previous visitor under the toilet seat. Algae growing around the sill on the shower screen, could not see TV properly as someone had ‘cleaned’ it with what looked like a dirty rag. Dead flies all over the property. There were zero tea or coffee facilities. For £175 a night I would have expected a few tea bags and even some long life milk cartons.

The location is right next to the university accommodation. The swimming pool was a great treat. The beds were comfortable. parking right outside. keys in the door on arrival.
the Tv didnt work. there was no shower curtain so we wet the floor.

Comfy beds and nice bed clothes. Big TV. WIFI (though instructions were incorrect). The Countryside location is beautiful. Good value for money despite the shortcomings..
No hot water. Fit and finish could be improved. Socket by bed not accepting plug.

Access to the pool and hot tub, nature around, beautiful views, playground for kids, lots of parking near the cottage. Horse and goat were cute. Quiet location, felt safe and family oriented. Friendly staff. Love big family sofa. Nice kettle, toaster, good oven and plenty of kitchen utensils. Very clean and tidy. Nice big tv but only sky no YouTube or Netflix for rainy days.
Very nice bathrooms and showers, nice water pressure in shower. Super clean and smell lovely. Beautiful garden and loved solar fairy lights at night.
Very comfortable bed and pillows, planty of towels and hair dryer.
No tea, coffe, sugar in any form
No bathrobes, single use slippers
No WiFi sadly signal outside but not inside
Old tv not smart no games nothing to do on rainy days inside

What a little gem we found . Pleasantly surprised at how much bigger the accommodation was Compared to what it looked like on photos. I don’t think the photos really do it justice . It was Very roomy , had everything you could want , little welcome pack of cleaning stuff and dishwasher tablet was really thoughtful .
Plenty of hot water and good showers . Having 2 bathrooms was brilliant , A Huge tv , large fridge freezer and dishwasher .
Location was beautiful and peaceful , it was perfect for our dog. Little fenced courtyard patio brilliant too , kept the dog safe . Little bbqs dotted around use was perfect and a really nice little extra , even charcoal was provided . We really enjoyed visiting the goat and the horse in the fields .
Swimming pool and hot tub area was lovely and heated pool a bonus.
I really liked everything about the accommodation and would definitely return . We had a fabulous time . It was just all round perfect
Nothing at all I didn’t like but plug in sink of en-suite was broke so we couldn’t use it . However I didn’t flag this up while we were there tho as it wasn’t a big issue for us .

The cottage is spacious, all very clean and furniture is in good condition. The bedrooms were nicely set up. My daughter loved the horse in the field. Very close to Aberystwyth, Clarach and Borth.
There was a broken tile on the floor outside the boiler cupbaord, very dangerous for bare feet as it was very sharp with bits missing and loose parts. The toilet in the double room was broken, the cistern just kept running and didn't refill for up to 2 hrs each time you flushed. The patio doors really need some hooks on when open as the slightest wind blew them shut narrowly missing my daughters hands, a me problem but also safety issue of course. The cooking items need refreshing, frying pan is old, and utensils, some were broken. The double bed wasn't connected to the headboard so every time my daughter moved in her sleep it banged against the wall.
There was a group of men staying in the cottage in the courtyard, I didn't think all same sex parties could book here? They came back around 1-1:30 in the morning very drunk and making lots of noise. I didn't sleep well at all!

The cottage is set in a beautiful location not far from Aberystwyth with beautiful farm views. The cottage is fully equipped with towels, soap in the bathrooms and kitchen supplies. It was spotlessly clean! The pool is heated and well maintained, as is the hot tub.
We took our dog and he has plenty of space to roam on our little patio and around the field. The kids loved the goat and horse.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer than one night.
Joseph was particularly kind to us during our stay in regards to use of the pool on Sunday, thank you!
Would highly recommend and we hope to return again.

It’s really well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. There is a dishwasher but we needed to bring our own dishwasher tablets) a full size fridge/ freezer and the rooms were clean.
This was our 2nd stay and we liked it as much as the first time. It’s really well sound proofed and so peaceful at the top of the hill.
The sky light in the twin single room was broken and couldn’t be fully closed.

The sofa was great but the downside was that it hid the radiator so the downstairs didn't warm up while upstairs was too hot as we had to turn the heating up for downstairs and it wasn't even that cold outside.
We were in the twin room. The carpet had a lot of hairs on and the on suite was tiny had I come with my husband and sons my son's wouldn't be able to use the shower as there wouldn't be enough room, My son's are over 6ft tall. The kickboard under the dishwasher kept falling off when opening the dishwasher door. The toilet in the main on suite kept running and you could hear it coming down the downpipe in the living area, and woke my cousin up.

We stayed for one night to visit family in Aberystwyth so the location was handy for us. It was good to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus to be able to take our dog along.
The property was very tired and felt neglected. It was very cold in the property and the heating did not come on at all despite turning the thermostat up. There were portable heaters provided but these are not ideal! We were only there for one night literally to sleep and got by but this would have been a problem had we wanted to spend time at the property. The property was not well cleaned - there were tea bag splashes on the floor around the bin area and the kitchen floor was not clean generally. There were hairs in the bathroom, the main bathroom had mould on the shower screen on the bath and the towel heater was very rusty and dusty. As other reviews have said there is no welcome pack - we had read this and brought tea/coffee/ milk for our night there but this is probably the only self catering cottage I have ever stayed in which don’t even provide a couple of tea bags and coffee sachets and it just felt a bit mean. Not the fault of the cottage owners but on the one night we were there another cottage around the courtyard had been let to a young group who were having a great night partying! They were outside on and off all night being really loud so we got very little sleep all night.

lovely location , photos don’t do no5 cottage any justice so much nicer In person , lovely comfy bed, rooms have on suites - pitty the jacuzzi bath wasn’t working but still lovely.
Was hard to find in the dark would be helpful for the host to explain in welcome
Email maybe? Also booking said 11pm check out but host on welcome email said 10am and when I questioned this I had no response.

Keys were left in the door waiting for our arrival so very easy entry! The beds were comfortable and the unit was warm. It was really great to have two bathrooms.
Although not directly in Aberystwyth, the location just outside town was a very easy drive away.
The unit decor was quirky but sufficient
It was hard to find initially - the property has multiple parts to it and the name on the road signs and Google Maps differed from what is in the Booking.com details. it would be good if it said "Aber Holiday Cottages - The Granary" and something to say that The Granary is one of many cottages in this property. We didn't have any instructions on how to find the unit so we just followed our noses!
The power sockets in the unit didn't all work.
We didn't have any instructions for the unit so just had to figure it all out ourselves. We also weren't sure what to do on our exit so just left the keys where we found them.

Great location as we were visiting for Aberystwyth university open day. Well equipped, clean, great views.
Couldn't get heating to work but as we were out all day didn't have time to chase it up. Just wore extra layers

Everything was thought of, tea towel towels etc. There was a little pack with dishcloth, dishwasher tablet poo bags etc that was very useful.
Staff were very friendly and helpful .
Accommodation was very spacious, and we enjoyed the quiet location.
I think you could advertise the pool a bit more and what is included with the accommodation like the dishwasher as these are good assets.

The photos do not do this place justce. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It was clean and super quiet. The kitchen was really wll equipped. Really do wish we could have stayed longer!
Our young grandchild visited snd my husband was concerned abobout protruding nails on the playground fencing

Comfortable beds, pet friendly peaceful.
Basic Condiments not available, no tea bags, sugar cooking oils etc. If we’d have known we needed to bring these we would have, but felt a bit let down we couldn’t have a cup of tea on arrival after a long journey.
The location given for The Granary on Booking.com is for the sister hotel in town we assume according to distance measurements from Morrisons and the other local restaurants and bars that were mentioned as being nearby. In fact it was out of town and part of a larger holiday park, we weren’t expecting this and booked as it was advertised as being 0.6 miles from town.

The cottage that we stayed in was upgraded from the Granary to the Calf Suite. It was in a great position, very cosy and well furnished. lovely views out of the conservatory at the back and it even had a small garden with a bench for sitting outside.
We were very hot even though the thermostat was turned down low. we ended up opening the windows and even then found it hard to sleep.
We tried watching I-Player on the TV but it kept buffering. normal channels were fine though.

Location was fairly close to town centre.
The way the property was advertised, I think the advert was a bit misleading. If I had seen the property beforehand I would not have paid this much to stay there for 1 night.

We liked the design of the property. Great size fridge. Good to have secure area for the dogs but a little bit more work is needed to make it secure for those who will go under fencing! Beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and great to have a dishwasher.
The only addition which would make a big difference is provision of tea/coffee/milk. For short stays people are often travelling light and it would be great to have the basics at the property. This includes some basic toiletries too please. The instructions asked people to wash everything in dishwasher and return to the cupboards but if you are checking out straight after breakfast, this is not really possible.

Location was excellent. Just a short drive outside of Aberystwyth. Cottage was lovely and spotless. Well stocked with everything you need. Area was lovely. Very dog friendly with a little enclosed garden area at the back.
Not much communication with regards of how to get keys for the property before we arrived. No one answering the phone number given, had to ring another number which was a hotel in town and find out how to get keys. Also, reception not open so was some confusion on how to actually pay for our stay! Again, ended up phoning the hotel who then had no record of us staying the evening! Managed to pay over the phone
