They ddnt clean my place for the the whole 4 days I don’t know why coz when I paid they charged me extra 1400 for cleaning of everyday but things just changed suddenly and they said it’s for only cleaning once how come stay in a place for5 days same sheet same towels no plz change the style

Location is great. The host was very responsive and available to communicate with. We were also given a gift box with goodies for festive period, that was lovely.

1. Few days before the trip, we received an email that we needed to pay a deposit of R5000 or our check in will not be processed. This was after the full Accomodation was paid via booking.com. It was explained this is a deposit that will be refunded, provided that everything is ok when you check out. This is not listed as a condition on booking.com 2. My biometrics at reception did not work, both face and fingerprints. It was loaded the first time checking in and done again the second time. It created chaos everytime I needed to exit or enter the building. 3. Shower door did not close properly, water was gushing out to the bathroom floor due to the issue on the door when showering. I reported it, and they managed to send someone after the first night to fix it. 4. The inner duvet is beyond filthy with stains that I could only imagine what they are. It needs to be thrown away, it’s disgusting. Hiding it with a duvet cover is just gross. 5. It’s a busy building, elevators are working hard, as a result. I got stuck in an elevator for about 10 to 15 minutes with 3 other people. We were told the technicians were on their way and they were not sure about the ETA. Fortunately the other passenger in the lift decided to just open the lift doors by putting his fingers and pushing each side. It turned out that we were stuck on an actual floor, first floor and we managed to get out.

Uninhabitable room, zero help, wasted a full vacation day, and no refund. Do NOT book with Propr!!!

The location was convenient and the building itself seemed nice.

This was genuinely one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. The bed was so hard it was completely uninhabitable — like sleeping on a wooden board. I reported the issue immediately and they ignored me the entire first evening. No one called back or offered any solution. I had to physically go to their office the next day just to get a response, and then they refused to refund me unless inspectors came. The inspectors took hours to arrive, and even they admitted the mattress was uninhabitable and that this complaint has come up many times before. I lost almost an entire day of my vacation dealing with this and still never received a refund. Propr rents out defective rooms, ignores guests, and wastes your time. Avoid at all costs.

Our stay at 16 On Bree street was excellent. The team at reception was really friendly and assisted us efficiently, admin at reception took us only 10 minutes. Thereafter we met the host at our unit. He was friendly and shared the property rules and necessary information. The apartment was exceptionally clean, located perfectly facing Green Point Stadium and the V&A Waterfront. Everything necessary for our stay was provided in terms of furniture, utensils and appliances. It was a great stay and we will definitely be choosing it again.

Heating did not work so room did not get very warm. Hosts accused me of smoking in the property and threatening 3K rand penalty fee plus additional fees. I don't even smoke so not sure if it's a way to extort money from tenants but would reconsider staying here in future because of this weird experience where they bring arbitrary accusations against tenants for no reason.

The place in a very convenient area, close to many amenities. The security was also excellent and made us feel at home. The room was very clean with all the appliances working except for the aircon. The maintenance department was quick to respond to the reported issues.

Great Location and the building is 'world-bank level' secure. There are lots of shops around and the world renown Long Street is a 7-minute walk away.

The neighborhood, like many in Cape Town, has its fair share of vagrants and homeless folks around. Usually not dangerous but it helps to be careful and street smart, especially at night.
