The property was centrally located and had a few good restaurants nearby which was nice. The view from the window was really lovely and having windows that opened allowed for a lovely breeze during the hot afternoons.

The part that really stands out and which I am truly displeased about is the cleaning fee. When I saw this fee charged at first I assumed it was related to daily cleaning and even then I was a bit confused. After coming back to my place on the first day I discovered it not clean and enquired about this and was told I am charged this fee for them cleaning the apartment after I leave. I am not using the room for free and then to be charged to clean after me is something quite ridiculous. I think even expecting your guests to take out their own trash just didn’t sit well with me. It’s just a personal preference but I believe going on a trip means you can relax your mind and body and not worry about day to day things and yet I found myself having to tidy up and remove my trash and it ruined the experience for me. When I see a property managed by SOUGHTED I am reluctant to book it. I didn’t also particularly like the area around it. During the day it was quite lively and I felt ok walking around alone , but as a solo female traveler I didn’t feel quite comfortable at night. Unfortunately on my first day there was a protest and the police dispersed the crowd with rubber bullets and this really cast a shadow over my whole stay. The apartment is cozy but very much on the small side for the price. I would suggest blinds for the upper windows above the kitchenette area , because in the afternoon the suns shines in quite harshly from them turning the room into an oven and wakes one up early morning even when you feel like you want to have a lie in. I definitely wouldn’t stay again. I give my overall stay a 5. Not good, not bad.
