Modern, City living Apartments- Private parking

Location was quiet and yet a few minutes from Cowley Rd and access via a number of frequent buses into town. We had nice views of the garden and the flat was well equipped for our 2 week stay. We had a change of linens half way through.

The front door to the 3 flats wouldn’t lock, but the management team got straight back to me and assured us that it would be fixed as soon as possible. The lock on our flat door was however secure.

Clean and spacious apartment in a quiet street. Only a two-minute walk to catch the bus into the centre. There was also a busy area of shops and restaurants about a 10-min walk away.

The front door lock was broken, so anyone could enter the building during our stay. However, some tradesmen had visited and were waiting for spare parts to arrive before they could fix it.

The location was on the bus route straight into the main part of Oxford—so very convenient. Keys were easy to find. The apartment was lovely and clean.

There was no wifi code listed anywhere within the property. As we arrived late on a Sunday afternoon, we did not want to bother the hosts. I did message them first thing the following morning, and they were quite prompt with supplying the code. However, it would have been helpful if there had been a welcome book left in the property with this information, especially as we were in Oxford for work.

The location is a bit outside Oxford City center. About 30 minutes walk to the center. We looked for a house with parking bcs we know that Oxford has a heavy congestion pricing for driving into its center. The apartment we stayed at is in the back of the house (so quiet), one bedroom, sofa bed in the living room/open kitchen. The space is very small when you open the sofa. The bedroom was amble and had good blinds. The Fridge is in the same closet as the washing machine. The bathroom was very clean. The towels were very good.

The bed was very very soft and not comfortable. Every morning I woke up with sore back. THe pillows are ridiculously flat. All bedding is made of cheap synthentic fibres - sheets cotton. We were in the apartment for a full week, there was no cleaning during the entire stay, and no fresh towels provided. The furniture was falling apart. The owners need to be more communicative. I had reached a week before my trip to ask if I could do some Amazon deliveries for when I arrived, I got no response. They started responding only when we arrived in Oxford. We used the washing machine and it gave us an error. I contacted the owner and she basically gave me instructions how to reset the machine, she said bcs it needs cleaning from time to time. This should not be the job of the renter. The blow drier was broken, tho they replaced that promptly. The worse part of the experience was that the last night we arrived at the property, which had 3 parking spots for the three apartments, all the parking spots were taken (one van was always parked in one of the spots) - so from being a property with a guaranteed parking, it turned into one with not so much parking. We found parking on the street, but then someone bumped and dented out rental car... So not ideal.
