Poggio Angelarosa: Lemon Garden Stay&Relax

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful sea view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Our host was excellent from start to finish. They showed us around the apartment, gave us some great recommendations for the local area and had even printed out a copy of the bus timetable for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The location is great for exploring Amalfi. There is a designated bus stop nearby and the buses run frequently, taking you straight into Amalfi, so getting around was really easy. Amalfi itself is lovely, with lots of beautiful restaurants, gelato shops and little souvenir shops to explore. There are also steps directly outside the apartment that lead down into Amalfi. We decided to walk down one day, thinking it would be a nice way to get into town, but it’s quite literally around 40 minutes of walking down steps and it absolutely killed our knees! 😂 So we definitely recommend taking the bus instead. The buses are so frequent and easy to use, and make getting up and down much more convenient. From Amalfi, you can also easily get the ferry to places such as Positano, which made it a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Great location, lovely apartment, beautiful views and an excellent host. We would definitely recommend staying here!

There honestly wasn’t anything we disliked about the apartment or our stay. Everything was lovely and we were really happy with the accommodation and the host. The only thing I would mention is the €20 per night charge for the car parking space. We did think this was a little steep, especially as parking at our previous accommodation was completely free. That being said, we completely understand that different properties have different additional fees, and having a secure parking space was definitely useful. We only stayed for two nights, so it wasn’t a huge additional cost for us, but it’s definitely something worth being aware of if you’re planning a longer stay, such as a week, as the parking fee could become an unexpected extra expense. Other than that, absolutely nothing to fault!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The online descriptions of Poggio Angelarosa are accurate: the rooms are located in a beautiful lemon grove which has been lovingly restored by the courteous hosts Antonio and Antonella. The views of Amalfi and the hills and sea are stunning. It is a peaceful place, standing high above the crowds of Amalfi. Do walk to the waterfalls of the via delle ferriere.

We had a wonderful stay at Poggio Angelarosa Lemon Garden and truly enjoyed every moment. What we loved most was the beautiful view, the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning lemon garden surrounding the accommodation. It was such a lovely place to come back to after a day of exploring. The location was also great, with a few lovely restaurants nearby. We had breakfast at the accommodation during our stay, and it was a really nice experience with delicious food and a beautiful setting. We also had the oppertunity to make breakfast in our own kitchen, which was nice to experience local products. Most of all, we really appreciated the hospitality of the hosts. They were incredibly kind, welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable stay. We would definitely recommend Poggio Angelarosa Lemon Garden and would happily come back again!

Beautiful location, and the apartment was very comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Although we communicated our arrival time in advance, we still had to wait awhile to be let in. Additionally once at the apartment there isn’t any phone service, so it would be great if check in was more clear before arriving.
