Pangkung Carik Villa by GenuineHost

The hotel itself although a little old is really a nice set out with large bungalow cabins set in beautiful gardens near a great pool and seems there is only a handful of guests staying at any one time. We got an uograde and stayed an extra night with a larger cooler room for 5 nights. Pool was great and nature all around.

Advertised as Ubud but not really anywhere Ubud and very little around this area for shopping or sightseeing. Nearby waterfall was pretty cheesy and contrived, stayed 5 mins. Very few staff and seemed many were unqualified in the industry. Desk often unattended. The bathroom design is flawed with no ventilation and skylights in it so super hot like a sauna and no where for fumes or smells to dispurse!

Its a beautiful spacious and well maintained property with wonderful & lovely staff.

The overall stay was okay but the property can improve on: 1.Having a phone in the room to easily contact reception for assistance. My partner had to walk every time to the reception to make an inquiry. 2.Change mattress as its not quite comfortable 3.The rooster in the morning goes on and it gets annoying.Move it elsewhere maybe 4.Have slippers in the room so that outside shoes aren’t worn inside the room 5.Put face towels in the bathroom for hygienic purposes 6.Put black out curtains so people who choose to sleep in can do that.
