A really charming place to have a restful time in attractive location just outside Wexford

The property was a delightful place for a short stay. An attractive building which has been extremely well converted to make it an ideal 1 bedroom dwelling. A very nice kitchen and sitting area as well as an extremely comfortable bedroom. Our hosts very thoughtfully provided many things that made our first night very easy including butter, milk, juice and fresh laid eggs.

Absolutely delightful and wonderfully friendly hosts that can't do enough for you

Rathjarney Gatelodge is beautiful, compact but extremely well fitted with everything you could possibly desire for a cosy break. The fridge even had milk, orange juice, butter and marmalade in it when we arrived. The kitchen also provided ground & instant coffee as well as tea bags. We arrived mid evening and let ourselves in using the clear instructions sent by our hosts. Shortly after we were in, Martin was there to welcome us and explain the heating and hot water controls. We were very comfortable throughout our stay and the outside gardens were so pretty and made even more charming by the three resident hens who rushed over to greet us every time we returned to the gatelodge. Katelyn even brought us half a dozen of their freshly laid eggs during our stay! The location of the gatelodge makes it a good base for exploring the South East of Ireland with plenty of days out available from Castles and lighthouses to Heritage Ireland's gardens and houses. We fell in love with Ireland during our short stay and will be returning soon. Very Highly recommended! 🥰

Exceptional property that provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would visit again.

This beautiful property is set in the owners immaculate grounds. The property is surprisingly spacious and well laid out. Comfortable, clean and well equipped this was the nicest single bedroom property we’ve stayed in. The property is ideally situated to explore south east Ireland and 30 minutes from Rosslare ferry port. The owner was friendly and generous with little extras to make our stay special.

No washing machine due to the size of the property but the owner can provide access to a machine should it be required. Not really a negative.

Gorgeous little cottage in a garden 15 minutes from Wexford.

We loved the historic charm of this comfortable little cottage in the grounds of a larger residence. Our hosts were friendly and generous - we very much appreciated the fresh eggs, yogurt and jam and the fully equipped kitchen. Quiet and peaceful, just 15 minutes from Wexford and (in the other direction) Kilmore Quay and the ferry to Greater Saltee Island. We’d love to stay again!

Excellent stay

Beautiful lodge located in a lovely rural setting. Amazing space! The lodge is very cosy with a comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. Lovely. place to relax and chill. The extra treats left in the kitchen were a bonus. The hosts, Katelyn and Martin are extremely helpful and kind, ready to support guests at all times! We really enjoyed our three night December break in Piercetown. Thanks again, we hope to return! Property response:

Martin & Katelyn were very welcoming and helpful. The lodge was comfortable, well equipped & clean. It was lovely to have fresh milk, orange juice, butter, jam and fresh eggs from their own chickens left in the fridge for us. I would stay there again.

A very comfortable lodge in a peaceful setting on lovely grounds.

The hosts are absolutely superb, so friendly, welcoming & helpful. The lodge is exceptionally well stocked with essentials & a few extras too & the property is right in the heart of beautiful countryside, so it's quiet & peaceful. There are a couple of shops & a pharmacy within 1 km for convenience. It's in a great location for touring the lovely county that is Wexford & beyond.

We could not find fault, everything was brilliant, peaceful setting, private entrance, spacious grounds & the outside seating was a bonus with the lovely weather we were lucky enough to have. Very comfortable & would definitely return.

The seclusion. No hotel fuss. Excellent hosts. Beautiful grounds. Perfect base for touring the South East. Good restaurants nearby. Great motorway access. Close to Wexford town, Kilmore Quay and Johnstown Castle, all must-sees.

Restaurants in Wexford town were shut in the evenings from Monday to Wednesday.

Notre hôte était très aimable ! Il nous a offert des oeufs des poules de son jardin ! Le salon de jardin ensoleillé est agréable. La maison est au calme. La douche est grande. Il y a de quoi ranger ses affaires et la cuisine est bien équipée.

Le matelas était beaucoup trop mou à notre goût. La maison n'est pas très lumineuse et donc un peu humide.

IL MIGLIOR POSTO DOVE SOGGIORNARE ♡

Abbiamo adorato il nostro soggiorno, Kateylin e Martin sono due host eccezionali. Il nostro volo ha ritardato e siamo arrivate la sera tardi, sono stati premurosi e al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato : burro, marmellata, latte, yogurt e succo di arancia in frigo. Ci hanno donato anche le uova fresche ♡ Il lodge è perfetto, arredato benissimo, caldo, pulito e con tante piccole accortezze per farti sentire a casa. La posizione è ideale per chi vuole esplorare i dintorni, spiaggie splendide vicine, Wexford town a pochi minuti di distanza ( con tutti i supermercati e centro pieno di negozi), e a due minuti si trova anche il supermercato del paese. È collegato molto bene anche alle strade principali. L'ideale per chi vuole assaporare la bellezza della contea di Wexford. La tranquillità e la pace hanno reso veramente difficile il dover andare via... ma torneremo sicuramente.
