This is in a great location, just a short walk up a steep hill from the lovely little port and beach of Almyrida. The villa is evidently quite new and everything worked well and its level of equipment was exceptional.
It was mid October and the pool was already cool compared to the sea but there was also a hot tub for warming up again!
The villa has plenty of space and different aspects and levels of it come into their best moment throughout the day.
The downstairs bedroom was useful for my 91 year old Dad who might have found the stairs tiresome every day!
There was a glitch with the hot water supply - plenty in the afternoon and evening but we went short in the morning (cool showers). The hosts had to send the engineer several times through the week to try and fix this.
We suspected the pool might be on the cool side in mid October but the heating charge is prohibitive. We had lovely sunshine all week and I'm amazed that luxury properties like this do not harness the sun with a couple of panels to keep the pool warm in the shoulder seasons.

The standard of the finish on this villa is exceptional, the location was perfect and only a short distance to one of our favourite sea fronts (Almyrida). The views from the villa were absolutely stunning, the outdoor area, pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. There were more than enough bathrooms, all the living and sleeping areas were extremely comfortable and there were more than enough amenities for 8 people.

Everything was clean and we had all the amenities needed. Vasilis, the owner, is a very attentive person who responds very fast in case of need and he was very helpful during our stay. This is the best villa you can book in Creta for a big group of 9-10 people like we were. The beach is 5 minutes away walking, and is one of the most peaceful beaches in all of Crete, not overly populated like others. Every other beach is accesible if you have a rented car. Also, the villa is very close to Chania, which is a must video for the culinary delight in the old town.
Nothing, there is no downside to this villa. It is worth every penny
