About this apartment rental
The sea view Pegasos Maisonette (2-bedroom apartment) is located in the seaside village of Almirida, 350 meters from the lovely sandy beach. It is built on a unique position above the small harbor overlooking the blue sea, 19 km east of Chania. A common swimming pool for 7 maisonettes is provided.
Pegasos Maisonette can ideally accommodate 4 guests in the two bedrooms of the upper floor.
On the ground floor an open plan living room area (with satellite TV and a balcony above the pool level), a dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen (with washing machine, big electric oven, big refrigerator, boiler) are provided in an open plan design.
One shower bathroom is offered in the ground floor and another shower bathroom on the upper floor. Three air condition units and wireless internet (wi-fi) are also provided. Please note that next to the pool there is a barbecue corner. Parking space is available next to the maisonettes.
Almirida is a quiet, seaside village with an excellent sandy beach, many traditional tavernas, seafront restaurants, cafes, shops, mini markets and a few bars in the waterfront. All guests can enjoy swimming and a few water sports in Almirida (canoe, sailing, windsurfing and kite boarding).
There are many sightseeing in the nearby area such as the freshwater lake of Kournas, the ancient Aptera, the monasteries of the Akrotiri peninsula, the Gorge of Samaria and the unique venetian old town of Chania.
We would like to kindly inform you that in order for Pegasos Maisonettes to maintain a relaxing and peaceful environment for your holidays, children are welcome from the age of 10 years old or older.

The apartment and views are exactly as described on the website, if not better. All of the apartments have balconies which overlook the small town, beach and sea which can only be described as breath taking. The location is perfect, approx 5 mins down the hill are restaurants right on the beach, gift shops and supermarkets, some bars/restaurants showed live sports which my partner was very happy about. It's very much an older person's place, with nothing too lively going on in the evenings.The beach was sandy but quite small as the tide didn't go out, but it was very safe and shallow for quite a bit. There are plenty of water sports available, such as paddle boards, canoes, diving and boat trips. Make sure you walk to the end of the shops along the beach as there is a place where you can book trips which we only found on our last day.As mentioned by other guests, the hill back up to the apartment would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, but taxis are available in the small town to take you back.The pool area is very quiet and you are very conscious not to make too much noise around the pool and on the balcony at night. It would have been nice to have some music playing during the day, but I appreciate that this isn't what some guests might like. There is WiFi available but it's not great and the kitchen is equipped with basic items, but it was enough for us as we didn't cook much.Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

We had a great stay at the Pegasus Maisonette! The place was nice and clean well maintained. Maria took good care of us during our visit. The town of Almyrida is quaint with great dining options and a nice quiet beach. The view from the patio or the upper balcony was beautiful with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended!

We searched for a long time for the right holiday in the right location with the right accommodation and we hit the jackpot!
The apartment was clean and had everything you needed, Maria was lovely and attentive and everyone who stayed here was really friendly. The pool was big for the amount of apartments and there was room for everyone.
The town is gorgeous with a beautiful beach, lovely restaurants and shops. It has everything you need for a family. The town is very family friendly and it was mainly families that stayed there.

I have stayed at a lot of VRBO 's across the country and it was great except they haven't thought about the fact people travel from FAR away and don't have things like beach towels, cooolers , beach chairs, small things like scissors or sharp knives, a toaster all of which make life easier when you cannot bring them from far away lands.
