Alannia Salou

Just home from a wonderful week at Alannia Salou. Check in- easy and straightforward Rooms- I had a ground floor room. It was perfect size for myself and my son. There were some ants in the room near the door however I notified cleaners who came with spray which sorted it. Toilet and shower in the room was fine for me and my son however it wouldn’t be ideal if you weren’t fully comfortable with the people you are sharing with! Pools- both the kids pool and main pool were fantastic! Sunbeds- plenty of available beds and they were quite comfortable Bar food - wasn’t great but wasn’t the worst either. Prices were ok. Bar staff- not the most friendly. On a few occasions I felt as though the staff were talking about me in Spanish while I waited for drinks which usually ended with them laughing. Left me feeling quite uncomfortable. Entertainment- fantastic! The shows were brilliant, kids club was great for my son, the games in the evenings were good fun too. Laser tag one night also for the kids which they loved! Would be brilliant if this was on more than once a week. Overall a great stay, I would recommend it to a friend!

The apartments were fine for our stay I wouldn't say the food isn't upto 4* it did get quite repetitive but we did always manage to make a meal luckily my children aren't to fussy so they were happy to just grab some pizza or pasta which is on the menu everyday. We stayed at a 4* last year and the difference in the food, variety of food and showing cooking was where you saw the difference as you didn't get that here and once things had run out eg pancakes in a morning they weren't replenished which I found really stage to say they was still at least an hour or more until the restaurant closed. The bar service is very slow as well and isn't organised very well as you order food from the same place and it seems to just slow everything down more staff were needed and more organisation in that area as it wasn't over busy so can only imagine in the height of the season it could become a bit of a nightmare. The complex overall was great for the kids especially during the day water slides, water bubble and activities to join in with the animation team the apartment complex is kept clean and rooms are cleaned daily. But the rooms are only small and be aware that you are all in one room all beds in a row adults and children and your shower and toilet facilities are all in the same room so not much privacy especially if like us you have teenage aged children. Other than that the location is good nice and quiet but in walking distance to everything and the beaches in Salou are lovely.
