We stayed here for 4 nights and, overall, I’d say you get what you pay for. There were definitely some positives, but also a few things that could be improved. If you’re not particularly picky about where you stay and mainly want somewhere reasonably priced to use as a base, this hotel is perfectly fine. When we first walked into the room, there was quite an awful smell which unfortunately lingered throughout our stay. We’re not really the type to ask to change rooms, but we did contact the hotel through their live chat and unfortunately never received a response. We eventually figured out that the smell seemed to be coming from either the flooring or the cushions on the beds, so those cushions stayed outside on the balcony for the remainder of our stay! The room itself was quite basic and could definitely do with some TLC. There were scuff marks on the walls and floors, and some of the ceiling/roof tiles appeared to be open in places. The bed bases also had noticeable orange/red stains, which wasn’t particularly appealing. Some of the bed sheets had marks on them even after they had been changed, although the cleaning staff did provide fresh towels every day. The pillows were probably one of the more unusual things. They genuinely appeared to be cotton stuffed into a bag — and you could actually see the inside of the pillow because the pillowcases were open at both ends and barely fitted over them! They weren’t particularly comfortable, although the beds themselves were comfortable enough. We had booked a quadruple room, but the wardrobe realistically only had enough space for around two people’s clothes, so storage could definitely be an issue for four people staying for a longer period. The air conditioning wasn’t the strongest, but it definitely did the job and kept the room comfortable enough during our stay. The shower had great water pressure and shampoo and shower gel were provided. There was also free WiFi and the TV was decent. We brought our own Chromecast, which worked well for watching our own things. The balcony was lovely and definitely one of the best features of the room. The location was also good. You do have an uphill walk when returning from the beach or main strip of Salou, but it wasn’t particularly steep or difficult. One of the biggest positives for us was that the BusPlana stop was practically on the doorstep, which made getting around and travelling to/from the airport very convenient. We also didn’t experience any of the excessive noise mentioned in some other reviews, which was a pleasant surprise. The only significant noise we experienced was one cleaner at around 9am one morning who seemed determined to slam every door, toilet seat and wall possible — but thankfully that was only one morning! The cleaning staff were lovely, and the maintenance and cleaning teams were also very quick to deal with things after the storm we experienced one day, which we appreciated. Reception staff were generally nice too, although the receptionist who checked us in was quite monotone and not particularly welcoming. The other receptionists we encountered were much friendlier. There is an ATM on site, although the room safe comes at an additional cost per day. There wasn’t an iron in the room, but I’m sure one could be requested from reception. The rooftop jacuzzis were an absolute highlight and were exceptionally good — definitely worth using during your stay. The pool, however, was extremely busy, so it wasn’t always the most relaxing place to sit. One thing we really appreciated was the taxi service. Reception called a taxi for us to get to the airport and gave us a reference code. Surprisingly, this worked out cheaper than the taxi we had taken from the airport when we arrived, which was a nice bonus. Overall, this is a fairly basic hotel and definitely not somewhere I’d describe as luxurious. There are areas that could do with updating and better maintenance, particularly within the rooms, but there
