Villa Zebra

Free continental breakfast was great, 4 of 6 guests in our group chose to pay $10 AUD extra for breakfast each day so they could have eggs & bacon and were not disappointed. Rooms are unique and it's a beautiful quiet place to stay

The Villa manager Ketut was very nice and tried his best to help us with overcoming the challenges of the Villa. The unique art work was very nice in the Villa but needs to be maintained. Pool was nice.

1) The location. we were not adequately informed about just how difficult it was to access this villa. It takes about 5-10 mins to drive from the main road into the villa. there are many very narrow roads and very steep roads. visitors cannot walk out of the villa due to steep/ broken/ muddy roads and angry stray dogs. We must use car or bike. it usually takes 30 mins to get transport to go out. We felt extremely isolated in this location. 2) Security. The location has no security. There is no fence or boundary wall so we had stray dogs walking in and any person could easily walk in too. There was no guard either although all the other villas we went to had a security guard. 3) Cleanliness. The pool is not well cleaned. The rooms were also dirty and we found gecko poop in the room. The villa is very run down. We had a leak in the room, hot water runs out if more than 2 people have a shower at the same time. the bedroom and living room doors have gaps, and geckos and wasps slip in very easily. We returned to the villa after dinner one evening to find two bedrooms filled with hundreds of squirming wasps on the bed and floor. The first day we arrived, we realised that the villa description was inaccurate and we were misled and wanted to leave but we were refused a refund.
