Waters Edge Apartments

Great location for what we needed

Location was fabulous - directly across from the lake. The apartment is on the first floor with great balconies.

Only issue was the noise generated from the traffic and the roundabout.

The location was amazing with a great view of the bay. The unit was comfortable and the beds were so comfy, we wanted to put the lounge on our car and take it home.

That we were unable to stay longer😁

There was a lot to like about the Waters Edge Apartments. The location was amazing - great view of Lake Macquarie and central to everything in Warners Bay. The size was perfect for our stay - 3 adults and 1 teenager and 1 almost-teenager - plenty of room with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, and massive balcony. Soundproofing in living space was very effective (Not so much in bedrooms). Clothes washing facilities, massive tv, wifi, on-site parking - all appreciated bonuses.

Sadly, there were negatives which have lessened the overall rating greatly. Firstly, the check in process was not straight forward. Check in was at 3 and I had to call twice to advise I had not received my check in instructions. Instructions eventually arrived at 3.17pm and the process to gain access was not unlike an Escape Room procedure. We followed the written instructions and gained access at 3.27pm. Accessing the carpark was easy but the directions to our allocated bay in the secure parking lot were not helpful and we could not access the internal stairs to Tower 1. It took two separate strangers who lived in the facility to provide us with directions for us to get back into the right lift well. Secondly, the cleanliness on arrival was sub-par. There were crumbs on the bench next to the stove. There were crumbs on the floor going into the main bedroom. Most shockingly, there were dirty underwear and shorts behind the door of the ensuite. Not what I would expect for an executive style apartment with a high price.
