Mooie, ruime studio. De decoratie (1 muur met gedecoreerd behang, bijpassende kussens en wanddecoraties), gaven een warme en gezellige sfeer. Fijn balkon met loungestoelen met kussens op de middagzon. Uitzicht op het zwembad van de appartementen en iets verder weg de zee. Twee brede bedden naast elkaar. Keuken met alles wat nodig is om zelf te koken, ruime koelkast met apart vriesgedeelte. Wij waren hier in februari en het was erg rustig bij het zwembad, dat ook in deze periode gereinigd werd. Er waren ruim voldoende ligbedden beschikbaar. Het plaatsje Caniço is niet heel bijzonder, maar gunstig gelegen; dichtbij de luchthaven en een prima uitvalsbasis om met de huurauto het eiland verder te verkennen. De eigen parkeerplek in de garage onder het appartement was ook heel prettig. Vlakbij waren enkele horeca gelegenheden, een bakker en een kleine supermarkt, waar alles te vinden was om een keer zelf te koken.

We waren blij verrast toen er een wasmachine in de keuken bleek te zijn, maar die hebben we helaas niet aan de praat gekregen voor dat ene kleine wasje dat we hadden willen doen. De bedden hadden wat ons betreft net iets zachter mogen zijn.

The apartment is stylish and clean with a lovely balcony. It has the potential to be a perfect place.

It's incredible how buildings in Madeira are built to rot, without even basic ventilation or adequate heating and/or dehumidifiers for the climate. The humid, often cold conditions, together with the lack of prementioned basics qnd relying on window ventilation in high humidity will in 100% of cases lead to mold. The portugese seem to only care about visible surface mold and think it's a cleaning issue, and not at all about the structural mold that is the way bigger health problem. Same thing here. The couches smell so strongly of mold it's not possible to sit on them. Some pillows too. The surfaces are rather new and I don't think there was yet an actual structural issue but with all soft materials for sure. I got symptoms from day 1. So if you are at all sensitive, I cannot recommend this, or much of other Madeiran buildings, unless they have hvac+heating/dehumidifiers. If you're willing to risk it, this is a very nicely decorated,clean apartment with all the amenities and facilities you might need.
