Great location and feeling. Enjoyed the natural surroundings. Had a nice campfire in the fire pit at night under the stars. Our cowboy cabin was exactly that- it was very basic but very authentic furniture and decor! I specifically wanted this type of room so enjoyed it very much. Comfortable bed and good A/C. Pool was great. Met lots of folks from nearby city that were there as a social group. Kitchen facilities and the shop were fine and easy to use. Easy check in/ check out. Very helpful staff. We were on the road trip part of our holiday though Alabama and the deep south, and this was a very nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle.
Shower rooms were a little run down in the pool area and main facility.

A very pleasant stay was enjoyed at the Kick Back Ranch. It was very peaceful. I was sorry to leave.
If one is looking for a serene stay at a secluded spot, I would highly recommend the Kick Back Ranch. And for those wanting a bit of shopping or entertainment in an urban environment, Montgomery and Prattville are short drives away.
For my stay, misunderstanding the way the automatic gate worked was a slight annoyance. That was solved by a bit of advice on approaching the gate.
