Cute old building, but too many stairs

Situated in a beautiful old vernacular building in the nice old part of town we liked the exposed beams, but modern facilities. Towels and sheets were immaculate and we were provided with basics for washing and cooking. Nice quiet neighbourhood.

The stairs were too much for me, very narrow. 3 flights of rickety stairs before climbing into bed. The air conditioning was not functional on arrival. Once we got it going (no batteries in the remote) it didn't cool the downstairs room at all. There's no dishwasher and we received a huge list of to-dos after check in, such as doing dishes (which is ok we'd do that anyway) but stripping beds and taking out the rubbish to the local town square up the road was not ideal. We basically had to clean the whole place before we left before 10am.

Bedroom not comfortable.

The location is convenient, also staying in a historical house was romantic.

The bedroom upstairs has no windows and it was impossible to sleep there: either too hot or too dry because of air conditioning. We ended up sleeping on a couch downstairs.

nice modernised apartment in a traditional building, it is actually two stories with the main bed on a second floor connected by steep stairs

ac only on second floor is good for sleeping, but does not really cool the living room. owner sends you a long todo list for checkout telling you to take out the trash, take off linens, etc rather surprising
