Disappointing

Hotel was very disappointing. Nice staff but they spoke very bad English. Room leaves something to be desired. Bathroom smells hugely of moisture. Shower head in very bad condition. Which makes the water go in all directions. Paint is peeling from the walls. Many insects despite the fact that the doors were always closed. Bedding was really dirty. Asked several times to replace it. The location is on a busy road. So you hear non-stop traffic, even during the night. Pool was really nasty. Asked several times when it would be cleaned was always told "today" but was not done.

Nothing like the photos - view in person before booking.

Nothing unfortunately

I don’t like doing this, but wished we’d known what we were walking into. We moved from a small guesthouse to The Wave with high expectations and excitement. Be warned - it is nothing like the photos. The photos haven’t been updated in a while and the hotel is tired, unloved and filthy. Apart from one of the staff breathing down my neck repeating “passports, passports, passports” before our last bag had even entered the room, our “clean” bathroom smelled like urine and other things, and hair was all over the sink. We spent half an hour after arrival trying to clean multiple surfaces to improve our comfort and it didn’t help. The pool hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like weeks, with a pile of maybe 100 bird faeces on the first step of the pool. Having a 2 year old daughter, we didn’t want to risk her health. We ended up leaving before the first night and willingly sacrificing our paid 2.5weeks stay without refund - it was that bad. 1 out of 5 staff were friendly (strange in Bali) and no one wanted to help fix the issues. I must stress, I don’t like doing this, but people should know what they’re going to get. A real shame. We have spent 6 out of the last 12 months in Bali and never had this issue.

Amazing

The property was amazing, just what we needed. In a great location in Pererenan! The staff made the stay incredible though, there was someone 24/7 to help you no matter what. Pandu, Tito, Erwin, Nisa and Ketut were all amazing and we can’t thank them enough. We will be back😊

Great location and value for money

I had a wonderful stay at The Wave. The location was excellent, close to everything I needed and, the room was very clean, spacious, and great value for money. There were quite a few ants, but it didn’t bother me; it’s Bali, and that’s to be expected. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. I’d happily stay again.

What was once nice is now disgusting

I stayed here only a year ago and it was quiet and clean and now I had to swap rooms 3 times, it’s dirty, the beds in comfortable, the doors broken, toilets don’t flush and the showers don’t work. Sad to see this hotel go down so much. The staff also don’t clean your room up to standard and one even stole my prescription medication from my bedside table (last trip not this time) Honestly I never leave bad reviews but after this experience I’d never stay here again.

Best comfiest bed, duvet, pillows. Lovely rooms and bathroom overlooking the pool. Convenient location. Currently construction next door but the price has been adjusted and it didn’t affect my stay.

Nice guesthouse and location but a bit expensive

Beautiful inside and only 8 guest houses. Staff were great and checkin and out was easy. Location is great right in the centre of Perernan. Wifi is good and beds are comfy.

For the price expected everything to be perfect. Shower pressure wasn’t the greatest. The toilet was leaking and bathroom smelt a little bit, also lots of mosquitoes get inside.

Modern & beautiful apartment!

Amazing place! Very modern and comfortable, the rooms are big and I felt like at home! I really recommend this place. Also the pool area is great and invites for a little swim and cool down :)

Fantastic hotel a little away from noisy Canggu

Everything! It’s calm (neighbours even asked us to speak less loudly, sorry guys!). Nice and stylish interior, room size for 2 people is perfect even if you work at the same time. Kitchen area is instagrammable as the whole territory (you know what I mean, right? haha). And it made us smile all the time when we heard staff singing while cleaning the rooms, you’re cool guys, keep going :)

Large, spacious room with big bed. Quieter area in Canggu and a short walk to the beach. Rooms exactly like the pictures.

Not a bad thing but just so others are aware, it is on a road which can be loud at times but not super busy and it did not disturb me at all.

The accommodation, the design…everything would be perfect! Unfortunately, the owners saved some mony wile the build this place. The accommodation is on the shortcut from Canngu to Pererenan, lot’s of motorbikes pasing this place, plus rooster’s, the start to crow in the midl of the night, dogs barking,…. all of this would be no problem (we are still talking about Bali and this is what we love about the nature here!). If the doors to the room and the big window at the terrase would be not thin like paper and the would have built the place in the other direction. I mean, the front to the neighbourhood and not to the street! Plus the wall to the other rooms are way too thin! U can hear everything, literally everithing! We wanted to stay for two month but we could not stay longer than a week. If the wold have switched the direction of the building and build proper wall including normal doors, it would be maybe that place to be! And we would have not moved to a other place. The can still fix it. let’s see. If u don’t mind some noises, than go for it!!! Stuff, Internet, area,… almost a „10“! U have everything next door u need. beach, surf, restaurants, shops, laundry,…
