Ipar kale - baskeyrentals

Fantastic location at the heart of old village. Short walk to all village amenities. Spacious, full of light and easy to air. Mostly very quiet despite central location. Communicative hosts, very quick to respond over WhatsApp and phone. Price was good. Two tiny balconies, enough to sit with a coffee or hang out laundry. We loved Mutriku.

The living room couch and its cushions looked dirty and smelled bad. This made relaxing in the evening a bit unpleasant. The laundry machine cupboard was very dirty, it needs a big scrub. The bathroom has a very bad smell at night coming from the pipes/plumbing. There could have been more supplies provided like more toilet roll, kitchen roll, some oil and vinegar. We had to buy everything for our 5-night stay, there were only 3 rolls of toilet paper provided and 3 tiny shampoo tubs. The upstairs bedroom has very low ceiling and after banging our heads a couple of times we decided to sleep downstairs in the smaller bedroom. Photos show the apartment in top shape and in great light but in reality it looks a bit tired and like it needs a bit of work. I'm guessing the photos were taken a few years ago. The small bedroom has different furniture than in the photos.

It is a nicely laid out space. The kitchen is well equipped, bed and couch are comfortable. It’s close to bars, the beach and bus stops in Mutriku.

If you have mobility issues, then this isn’t the place for you as there are two (steep) flights to the apartment door, then one more to enter the apartment. The loft is another flight of stairs to an extremely low ceilinged attic.
