Perlakua Saka

I loved this agroturismo! It had such character, a lovely outdoor seating area, delicious food cooked by the grandmother and a very helpful and polite young man running it (who teases his father affectionately). A proper family affair! It is a working bull farm and fascinating to talk to the family about. It is perfect if you’re looking for a special stay on the Camino Del Norte - you just deviate off the trail for a short distance and cut out the e descent into Deba (which you will get to do on the next leg anyway!).

It was in a beautiful pastoral setting with lots of flowers around. There was outdoor seating and a nice menu for dinner. When we were leaving, one of the proprietors very kindly escorted us down to the main road, as we had had some problems finding the place the day before.

My GPS took us on a very narrow, long and winding road to reach the hotel. This was the fault of the GPS, not the hotel. There was a far more direct route that did not involve backing up to meet an oncoming vehicle! There was wifi, but it only worked in the common areas, not in our rooms.

Great little Rural hotel with plenty of charm. Rooms were OK, beds excellent (my wife and I both suffer from bad backs so we’re concerned). Excellent value for money. Great location - albeit up quite a winding, narrow road.

Breakfast was basic. Nice fresh bread and good coffee, but no fruits (just orange juice from I think a paper carton). Dinners are said to be good, but we had a wedding and did not dine at the hotel. Bathroom was OK, but no more.

It is a very nice and beautiful location.
