Het appartement op de 1ste verdieping kijkt uit over het pittoreske pleintje van Lyons-la-Fôret. Het is zeer authentiek ingericht met leuke details. Het kleine binnentuintje was een surplus. De onmiddellijke nabijheid van bakker restaurantjes en buitenterrasjes oa. "café de commerce", ons dagelijks aperitief afspraakje, maakte het plaatje rond om van de stralende zon te genieten.
Aan de overzijde van de straat zijn net verbouwingswerken in uitvoering die je 's morgens wel wat vroeg doen ontwaken. (enkel tijdelijk)

Perfect location for a short visit to Lyons. Old-style decor, attractive and well modernised.
Nearly locked out by vagaries of the door lock. Not good enough. Bed in alcove gave nowhere to place things.

De locatie midden in Lyons La Foret is geweldig, met een mooi uitzicht op het marktplein. Het bed-en linnengoed was van prima kwaliteit en schoon.
In tegenstelling tot de foto’s is veel in de accommodatie oud en versleten. Geen mooie vintage en brocante, maar oude spullen die smoezelig zijn. Een kale houten vloer, doorgesleten tapijten, oncomfortabel oud meubilair. En tot slot een incomplete minikeuken, waarin van alles niet schoon was.
