Muthuarana Villa Matara

Really nice room sizes and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. They had provided mosquitoe nets, which were much needed. The washing machine was also a nice provision. We enjoyed the hor water in the bathroom. The whole place is clean and nicely decorated.

There was no Ac unit in the living room, just in the bedrooms, so it was really hot in there. There we were lots of mosquitoes coming through the windows even though there was a make shift net pinned on. Kitchen utensils could do with an update. The toaster didn't fit in the wall socket, so we had to move it to the top of the fridge. The fridge also had half filled soda bottles left in it. Wifi is not free, so beware before you book. It would have been good if there were some instructions left about how to use appliances and where to dispose of garbage, etc.

The property was well located and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and it had a washing machine. It was excellent value for money

Beliggenheden, tæt på strand og hovedvejen, med mange faciliteter inden for rækkevidde. Værtsparret var utroligt søde og gæstfrie, og kom flere gange med srilankanske delikatesser og legetøj til vores drenge. Den nærliggende strand, altså den man kommer ned til som den første, bød på skildpadder på hver eneste snorkeltur.

Der var en del myrere i huset, men det tænker jeg er svært at undgå eller komme til livs. Bor man der længere lærer man sikkert nogle fiduser for at komme dem til livs.

I totally recommend this villa for a long term rent. There is a lot of space inside and a small garden outside, it is clean and newly painted and all the furniture and fridge and washing machine are new. You'll have 2 bedrooms with comfortable double beds and wardrobes, living room with enough space for dining area and a chillout zone. Each room has a ceilling fan and it's not hot inside. All rooms has a garden view. There is a fiber internet and mobile wifi option. The location is wonderful, too. The villa is hidden from the main road, so you'll never hear any car or bus noises. But you can reach the beach and the cafes just in 10 min walk. If you like to swim, it's better to come to Polhena beach, which you can reach in 20-25 min on foot or 5-7 min by bike or tuk-tuk. You can also find some vegetable and fruit markets, small local shops and big supermarkets near the house. And you can easily reach big city Matara - by bus, tuk-tuk or bike. Finally, the hosts are really very nice, friendly and helpful. They were always there for us when we needed and helped us with every our request. Thank you so much! Hope to see you again :)
