paradise in Scotland

so close to down town center. we walked easily to Dundee hotspots only short 20 min or so walk. the house was so clean and smelled great . felt like home. kitchen had all amenities ya need with a little washer and drying horse. Hulu smart tv access . well worth the money and the landlord was interactive and easy to get ahold of . I can’t beleive to rave how much I loved the shower area so relaxing . we stayed 14 days it was so hard to go back to the USA. wonderful food options always available downtown Dundee

my couple of concerns: the door that leads to these small apartments is so hood looking, so is the entrance inside. the castle like stair were kinda cool but was so dark and dank and door was broke. no real security :( but don’t let that deter you! apartment was immaculate beds were too small and hard….did provide several down comforters and kites of pillows worst part of the stay is the smell of the bathroom. as soon as we opened the bathroom door, it smelled stale and like a touch of sewer. ended up buying candles and burning several hours a day. two days before we left , I pulled up the bathroom drain and found the source….something clogging exit drain and hair and soap scum just sitting in there. poor flushing toilets, that was all of Scotland really

property owner was always readily available, helpful and polite - location was good- easy commute to the Hospital - clean facilities - wifi worked well - good sized apartment

main entrance not secure, stairs going up to the apartment dark and appeared unkempt, but once in the apartment it felt relatively secure - temperature of shower hard to regulate (hot and cold water intermittently) - bathroom had a slightly damp smell (didn't notice any damp)

The location is very bad. The stairs are terrible. And the price is over high. Toilet smell bad when the fan is working. Not high clean standard. But the facilities are good. No one help, just online check in and check out.£150 Deposit return slow.

Well designed, quiet at night as bedroom window is away from the main road. Well equipped kitchen. Good instructions from the host. Close to the bus (n 22) stop for the city centre and still walkable. Non-smoking.

As some reviewers have already noted, the mattress needs changing. It is old and uncomfortable. I did not feel the bed was fresh – it was nicely made but I felt the bedding was not particularly clean – as if someone has already slept in it - or may be it was washed with too much softener. A bit noisy (traffic) during the day but it should not be a problem as guests would normally be out. Away from the city centre.

Comfortable apartment in a great location for our needs.

The apartment was clean and tidy with modern utilites and appliances. It has recently been renovated to a good standard. Great location for what we needed. Easy checkin.

The apartment itself was great, but the same cannot be said for the building it is in. I know nothing can be done about this but it doesn't give a great first impression. Don't let this put you off of staying though, as the apartment is exactly how it is advertised.

Very comfortable, central but quiet base to explore Dundee.

Very clean, well appointed apartment, good location with free onstreet parking. Also great communication with host particularly as was a Very last minute reservation!

Very good

Apartment was quiet, clean, well appointed with all kit in order. There no problems. Although 15 minutes down hill to town centre, a little longer back on foot there was regular and frequent service on #22 bus. A pub immediately next door provided warm welcome and good conversation. There was an excellent bakery and butcher's (meat pies !) around corner on Blackness Rd. There are various interesting paths ranging from direct east to town center, SW through grounds of University of Dundee and south toward the Tay. Area is historic for jute mills and worker tenements. Dundee town itself has rather more charm than its reputation :-)

Entrance to building stairwell was open. The stairwell was medieval, or at least Victorian. The flat owners are working to get the building owner to fix main entry door and improve lighting. However this adds a certain amount of character to otherwise boring rental.:-)
