The property was perfect and the owners so very helpful. We had been let down by another property arriving to find people already in it and we booked The Anchorage late. Within a couple of hours the place was ready for us, even with freshly backed scones and a cake. I am so glad we found The Anchorage.
The house is a great size. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable.
The views of the sea are fabulous.
It is really well located to explore Northumberland.

While this is my own fault I didn’t enquire there is no downstairs loo and having only one toilet when you’re in your 70’s is uncomfortable and hard work as we used to living in a bungalow with 2 bathrooms, it was as I said my fault for not enquiring but has taught me a lesson when we book anywhere again will make sure either 2 toilets however in this property maybe the large hallway cupboard could be converted into a loo don’t think would be such a big job or extend back of kitchen and put one there so there are options and I think looking forward this will be classed as a necessity but otherwise very nice property.

The property itself is exceptional. Extremely well equipped and has been decorated to the highest of standards. Inside and outside it has everything a holiday home should have. Properties often say beachfront, but there’s a ramp or a distance to travel. Here you open the front door, cross a road and you’re in the beach car park. Easy access to every part of Amble. We are hoping to re book. Can’t recommend enough. Excellent communication from your host Jen too.
