Kyokusui Hotspring Hotel

The good: value for money hotel w/ private bathtub, clean, near Thermal Valley, retro western & Japanese design. The not so good: it's a 15-20min walk up slope from Beitou station otherwise there's a bus that comes every 20mins right to the hotel, charging port was loose but functional, has no lift but staff can help carry luggage up, room is small, hard to walk in with luggage. Overall I enjoyed my stay mostly because of the bathtub, however I am unlikely to return.

Everything is nice (hot spring in the room, comfortable beds, clean room, nice environment, friendly staffs). My complaint is there is not lift. It is not easy to carry a big suitcase up the staircase, but their staffs are willing to help.

I can’t rave enough about this charming boutique hotel. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, and the rooms are spotless. It’s clear they take great pride in their service and truly care about their guests’ comfort. Even the towels and bedding smell wonderfully fresh—I suspect they use high heat to sanitize, which for a clean freak like me is priceless! We received bottled water daily, and although we requested no fresh linens each day, housekeeping still stopped by to empty the trash and replace our towels. The soaking tub, filled with mineral spring water, is enormous—perfect for two. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet incredibly convenient, with a bus stop right out front that takes you directly to the metro station. The entire property has a relaxed, old-world charm that makes it so easy to unwind. I’d stay here again and again without hesitation! *Don't forget to check out the temple right across the street!

It is a relaxing stay in the hotel, but there is not much food around the hotel. You need to get out to get food. Also, there is no lift to 2nd and 3rd floor, but the staffs are helpful with our suitcases.
