    It's an old hotel that needs a revamp. It comes with a mediocre breakfast set thrown in , so don't expect much. Its air conditioning needs to be adjusted to Zero (max) to get some decent cool air. There is no safe in the room. When I complained about the mini fridge that blows 'warm air' as I needed to store some medications and cold desserts . The front desk in the eve suggested to store them in the common fridge on level 1 !!!!! And our room was on level 3. I refuted this ridiculous and inconvenient suggestion and insisted the fridge/room change repeatedly ( eve and following morning - to a younger and more friendly counter staff)) . In fact, there are many vacant rooms available as it's NOT the chilly autumn or cold winter season for hot spring yet. Lastly, there is no shuttle service , so be prepared for the 20-min uphill walk from Xinbeitou Stn to the hotel. The outdoor hot spring pools were doing their weekly /monthly cleaning on Tuesdays (NOT published info), so we missed that as we stayed for Mon (check - in at 3pm) and Tues nights only.
