My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, mainly because of poor service, serious security concerns, excessive noise, and unpleasant smells throughout the property. On the first day, my luggage was left unattended downstairs for almost two hours. It was placed near the reception area, where customers were sitting and could easily access it. Eventually, I had to go downstairs and carry it to my room myself. Later, when I called reception three times to request a knife and spoon, it took approximately one and a half hours for them to be delivered. During those calls, the receptionist asked whether an employee had brought my luggage to the room. He seemed surprised when I explained that I had taken it upstairs myself and said that he had been worried it might have been lost. Instead of acknowledging that the hotel had left my luggage unattended in a public area, he appeared to question why I had moved it myself. This was both unprofessional and unacceptable. There was also a serious privacy and security issue. On one occasion, while I was asleep during the day, a man suddenly opened the door and entered the room. I immediately jumped out of bed, and he said he was from room service, even though I had not requested cleaning. He then told me that I should have placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign outside the door. However, the previous day I had specifically placed the “Please Clean the Room” sign outside. On the day of the incident, I had not placed any sign because I did not want the room cleaned. Hotel staff should always knock, announce themselves clearly, and wait for permission before entering an occupied room. The hotel was also extremely noisy. Guests were knocking on doors, shouting, and speaking loudly around midnight and even later. There appeared to be no staff supervision or control to ensure that other guests could rest. It was very difficult to sleep properly. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room, but the room smelled strongly of shisha or hookah smoke, possibly from previous nights. The elevators and corridors were also filled with strong cooking and grease smells. The odor was so intense that it remained on my hair and clothes whenever I walked through the hotel. This created an embarrassing situation, particularly when attending professional meetings, as my clothes smelled as though I had just come out of a kitchen. Overall, the hotel needs major improvements in luggage security, staff professionalism, room-entry procedures, cleanliness, ventilation, noise control, and respect for guests’ privacy. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a safe, quiet, clean, and professionally managed place to stay.
