"A lovely light space, clean and well equipped. The small patio is a sun trap and we enjoyed using the bbq."

Łazienka ok - wanna z prysznicem i toaleta. Ja osobiście preferuję kabinę prysznicową. Liczba pokoi umożliwia pobyt rodzinie - na plus. Dom czysty i ogólnie wygodny. Odbiór kluczy prosty i dobrze opisany. Zero problemów w trakcie pobytu.
Wyposażenie i wystrój typowy pod gości na wynajem. Cena jest dość wysoka za dobę - jedyne uzasadnienie to lokalizacja, ale to nadal tylko dom do noclegu.

It’s in the most perfect position in Burford - away from the main high street, but only a couple of minutes walk away from the pubs and shops. The house is gorgeous, tastefully decorated and well equipped.
The only downside was the fact that it was impossible to contact the owner or manager prior to our visit with a question about bedding. I messaged through Booking.com and got no response and then tried setting up some sort of portal with Sykes, but still couldn’t get through to anyone. It was all a bit of a faff and time consuming too.

The cottage is in a great location. It was clean and warm - when the heating worked. The kitchen was well equipped, the oven and hob were really good and the big fridge freezer was much appreciated, there was plenty of hot water and the beds were comfy.
Unfortunately the cottage lacks a few finishing touches which made it feel a bit stark and not as a cosy as we would've liked. The lighting downstairs is all wrong. In the day it's quite a bright space (depending on the weather) but at night the lamps are not adequate enough to light the rooms properly giving the place a bit of a gloomy feel. The spotlights are too bright to have on as they are not on dimmers so we ended up bringing down lamps from the bedrooms. Two lamps didn't work at all, we brought bulbs but that wasn't the problem. They probably haven't worked for a while but when you are paying over £750 for a 3 night stay you have a right to expect that the basics work. The top floor bedroom is rather soulless, it felt a bit like a room in an institution! Apart from the two beds, a child's table and chairs and a bedside table (with a lamp that didn't work) there is nothing else in there. No mirror, nowhere to hang anything just lots of wasted space. The room needs to be geared up for adults as well as children and it certainly needs to be softened and made more welcoming. One of the other bedrooms had a mirror but nowhere near a plug so using the hairdryer was a bit of a challenge. The filter in the bathroom was really grubby. The heating never seemed to be on in the morning, one of us always had to go down and prompt it to kick-in. We didn't want to start messing about with whatever timed setting it was on and it was lucky that the outside temperature wasn't cold otherwise it would have been a bit of a nuisance. The downstairs loo has a very ugly collection of fuseboxes and meters etc. Surely it wouldn't take much to box them in and make it look bit neater and tidier whilst ensuring access is still available when required? The garden could do with a tidy up too.
