Fantastic food; they accommodated my need for glutenfree meals extremely well, even with custom desserts! Everything else was fabulous as well, including the guide we added via the same booking and that they provided, for a small group (up to 9 in our group, sometimes less). Our guide, Islam, was very knowledgeable and pleasant, spoke excellent English, and managed the group well to avoid the crowds. Great accommodations with view, and a very functional bathroom for a Nile cruise, with an in-tub shower and glass screen. And very creative towel art! One of the highlights was the top deck barbeque during a particular nice stretch of the Nile. We also liked our fellow passengers, some from Europe and well-educated. Highly recommended!

We only received our preferred room on the second night, because they understood a double room to be with two twin beds. If you want a room with one wider bed, it's best to double-check beforehand.

The overall experience was interesting, and we would do a cruise again. The bathrooms are very nice and well-cleaned. The food is pretty good - all buffets - especially the Egyptian buffet. The staff was mostly very friendly, especially in the bar/lounge, where they would notice if we missed breakfast and would bring us a really great plate of food.

On the downside, since we didn't get to choose our cabin, we were given a room right next to the engines. Granted, they turn off the engines during the nights in port, but when they start up at 5am, it's REALLY noisy. Customers are also assigned a table for all meals, and even tho we were just a couple, we got a larger table near the back corner. Probably the most worrisome was that we were told in two separate correspondences with the boat people that we would have private tours because we are older, walk slowly, and would have a hard time keeping up. When we checked in, the desk person told us this wasn't possible, and they even called the main office in Cairo and confirmed that private tours were not possible. We decided to NOT do the group tours at $300pp, and actually that gave us more options and cost us less to find our own taxis to visit things. Finally, the interior is kinda tired, and the carpet must be really hard to keep clean. We would do a Nile Cruise again, but only with a company that would let us choose our cabin location.
