Palacete Molina

The property was really nice --- it made us imagine how it was living in Seville in the old days! The historic vibe was real but the rooms were modern!! The hosts greeted us in person to give us the key and to show us how things worked in the apartment. The apartment was cool which was very pleasant because the days were hot! It was centrally located so we only had to walk to Real Alcazar and Seville Cathedral. The atmosphere in our area was lively without being noisy. It was a wonderful stay!

The laundry area (located in a dedicated area one floor above our apartment) was very hot and for some reason our laundry took too long to wash.

The place is nice and clean. The staff are nice!

It’s a little hard access as the old town area. The streets are very narrow.

The location was fantastic, everything you’d want to explore in Seville was easy to get to from the flat. The accommodation was modern looking with a pretty courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of toiletries. The hosts were great, very quick to respond to any queries via What’sApp such as our coffee machine being broken (they fixed the following morning). We also had a 1-year-old with us and they had set up the cot ready in the bedroom. The wifi was great everywhere in the flat and very easy to connect to streaming services. It was also super useful to have a lift.

It was exceptionally smaller than the pictures deem it, which was quite difficult as a couple with a child who had little space to walk around. Where the rooms were triangle or oddly shaped, the furniture didn’t fit against the walls which meant everything was somewhat cramped - there was only an arms-length space between the sofa and the kitchen which didn’t feel suitable for a small family. There were unwashed and large crusty stains on the sofa which decreased that ‘luxury apartments’ feel. Our biggest concern however, was that although they’ve listed on their accommodation that rooms have ‘soundproofing’, but the plumbing sounds which meant that if anyone used the bathroom upstairs, it was loud enough to sound as if someone was showering in that very room, we were quite shocked by how loud! It woke us up on several occasions and our toddler too. Also, the open courtyard can mean if anyone makes noise as they come in / choose to sit in the courtyard very late at night, it’s exceptionally loud - my husband had to ask another set of guests to move into their room after they were sat in the courtyard singing very late at night. The street level noise is quite a lot even though we were on the 2nd floor, which is at least understandable as we wanted a central location.
