The grounds were beautiful! A hotel staff pointed out a sloth in a tree soon after we arrived. It was convenient for walking to town and was also in the pickup area for all the tours we wanted to do. The rooms were private and very clean. They left us a nice treat upon arrival to commenorate our 25th wedding anniversary. We would have liked a room over the bridge and not as close to the lobby/restaurant but that was not available since we booked a room one week before we arrived. It was perfectly fine since we spent little time at the hotel and the majority of our time out touring the area. Not true was the reviewer who said the food was bad. We thought the restaurant was very good! My husband loved the tuna ceviche so much that he ate it 3 days in a row. I thought the whole red snapper was very good and not terribly greasy even though it was fried. I also liked the pizza and salad. I didn't love the shrimp wrap but that's only because I didn't love the sauce they put on it. Breakfast was included and they offered fresh delicious fruit, juice and great coffee. Then there were 3 meals to choose from. We enjoyed the 2 we had each day.

True to other reviews, there were no hooks for towels so we brought little over the door hooks with us. They worked great. There also could have been a chair in the room and drawers or more shelving. It was hard to manage all our clothing within the little suitcases we brought.

Clean and cosy in a good maintained garden

Bath drain was blocked and when told the reception , the night watch man/receptionist handed me the plunger to do it myself.

The setting and surroundings were beautiful. I love that it was close to a stream. I liked the extra space we had in our family room, including an outdoor kitchen.

I thought our room would have a jacuzzi tub included with it. This is part of the reason I booked the room there. When I arrived, I was told the family room doesn't include a jacuzzi tub. I asked if there was an option for us to share or use another jacuzzi tub, and I was told there wasn't. Also, the breakfast did not taste good. The eggs were under-salted, and everything we tried was not good. We had two mornings of breakfast here and both mornings we were disappointed. The third bed in the room was not comfortable at all. Perhaps it was supposed to be a "kids bed," but I ended up sleeping there and did not get good sleep.
