The apartment is spacious, with all mod cons (except air conditioning!). It is in a quiet, very green and well kept residence and has a stunning enormous pool (beware you need swimming caps and the pool has many rules, eg. no inflatables), a cute bar and a very friendly and good restaurant. It is a nice and easy walk down to the (stone) beach where you can rent umbrellas and deckchairs or even a boat for the day. The little village of Bagnaia has a mini market and a few restaurants and a pizzeria. You can easily drive over to the larger town of Portoferraio in about 15 minutes. Behind the house are the hills and wooded mountains, with lots of walking and cycling paths. Having an underground garage for the car is also a huge bonus.
Not having air conditioning was a problem at first (we were there during an awful heatwave), but the agency was very kind and procured us 3 fans which really made a big difference. Although there are all mod cons, there is very little to get you started (no washing powder, dishwasher tablets, anti mosquito devices, etc). Similarly, no sugar, salt, oil, kitchen towel, etc.
It would be helpful if there were a few of these already in place especially when staying for just a week. We ended up leaving a lot of stuff like that behind, but hopefully the next people renting the apartment got to use them.

It’s the architecture of that property that is just amazing. Hard to see something similar. It’s definitively worth to see. The pool and the restaurant is just icing on the cake.
Value for money. The equipment of the property doesn’t match. Mentioned BBQ grill on the list is just virtual, missing some items in the kitchen and the missing towels in the bathroom that should be common part of it.
