BWHALE guest house B&B

What an incredibly special place! We stayed at Whale Guest House B&B for the first few nights of our honeymoon, and Cindy and her daughter made the beginning of our trip something we will always remember. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like staying at a guest house and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Cindy has such a genuine warmth about her, and the care she puts into making sure her guests are happy can be felt in everything she does. And the BREAKFAST! We are still talking about it and genuinely miss it every day! 😂 You can taste the love and effort Cindy puts into breakfast, and we already know that we need to come back if only to experience it all over again. We loved spending time chatting to Cindy, enjoying the beautiful property and coming back to our lovely bedroom each day. There is something so special about receiving hospitality from people who are genuinely kind and caring. By the time we left, it almost felt as though we were saying goodbye to long-lost friends. A special mention also has to go to Chapline and Tin Tin, the sweetest dogs! Cindy is very considerate and keeps them away from guests who are not comfortable with dogs, but because we love dogs, she brought them out for us and we had so much fun spending time and playing with them. Cindy and her daughter went out of their way to make sure we were always comfortable and happy, and they made the beginning of our honeymoon incredibly special. Beautiful property, wonderful room, unforgettable breakfasts and, most importantly, genuinely wonderful people. We will absolutely be back. We need another Cindy breakfast! ❤️

From the moment we arrived, the space felt warm, peaceful and welcoming. It was the perfect place to slow down and truly enjoy our long weekend stay. Everything about the BWhale guest house created a sense of comfort and relaxation. The delicious breakfasts were a definite highlight, especially the special touch of German culture reflected in the wonderful desserts. The beautiful backyard was perfect for my son, who felt completely at ease and had so much fun playing and enjoying the space. Our host was absolutely amazing, attentive and genuinely passionate about making our stay special.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The location is perfect, surrounded by gorgeous nature and super peaceful, yet close enough to easily explore the area. Every morning started with a wonderful breakfast that was fully customizable to our liking, which was such a thoughtful touch. To top it off, the hosts were amazing and gave us so many fantastic local tips for what to do in Knysna. We loved every minute of our time here and highly recommend this place!

Nothing!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this guest house. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. The breakfast was incredibly varied every day and probably one of the best we’ve ever had at a guest house. The entire property is beautifully maintained, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax. In the evenings, you can unwind with a beer or even enjoy a game of darts, which we really loved. Dinner was absolutely delicious—truly outstanding—and the hosts were simply amazing: always friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help with anything. We would come back anytime!
