Cabañas Daneysha

Part of a real village feel and island life. Gloria goes the extra mile to make everyone feel taken care of. She organises everything and makes sure things happen on time. She also washed our laundry - and her breakfasts are delicious!! There is also a sparkling blue pool on the property! All in all, 10/10

The one restaurant close by had a lot of men who started drinking early in the day. That did not add to the ambiance of the otherwise quaint little area.

Small guesthouse, only has 5 rooms, which makes it quiet and personal. The village is a boat ride away from Tortuguero so quiet and rural but within a small village (some restaurants nearby) The hosts, Gloria and Sergio, were fabulous. We did a canal tour and also turtle watching tour, both of which were great. Sergio has the most amazing eyesight to spot wildlife. Good breakfasts. It was great to be in the pool and watch the Toucans, Hummingbirds and other birds fly by. Overall we felt well looked after in a relaxed environment with a real positive Pura Vida vibe.

Nothing really. The only thing that could have been a bit better was the shower, it worked ok but the water flow was a bit weedy.

Initially worried having picked this accommodation 10+ minutes (by boat) north of Tortuguero proper this turned out to be a fantastic place. Friendly host, nice swimming pool, great food, and a top class guide we did some tours with.

Costa Rica disco music close by although that stopped later in the evening.
