Acacia Cottage

Acacia Cottage with a nice garden is a very peaceful and lovely place to stay in Maun. The hosts, Ruth and Tebla, are wonderful people, and we felt completely at home. Ruth is also an excellent cook; you can order a delicious dinner, and the breakfast is equally fantastic. And, of course, there’s Lucky, the house dog! Tebla runs a safari company called Nalange. We went on a fantastic three-night safari with him into the Okavango Delta, which included *mokoro* (dugout canoe) excursions and some truly fascinating wildlife sightings—such as wild dogs, lions feeding on a kill, elephants, giraffes, and more. Once again, our thanks go to Ruth, Tebla, and the entire team.

We had such a lovely stay at Acacia Cottages! The cottage was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the beautiful garden was a lovely place to relax. The owners live on another part of the property and were always happy to help, both in person and via text. They even came to our rescue when we struggled to find our way after dark ;-) We also really appreciated their helpful tips for our upcoming self-drive trip. Their sweet, friendly dog came to say hello every day, and we always looked forward to our visitor :-) Our only suggestion would be slightly larger signs along the diversion caused by the road closure. There are signs, but some could be easier to spot and read after dark, especially along the bumpy dirt roads in a taxi ;-) We would happily stay again!

Very peaceful, good value, very clean, very good large bed . The comfort makes up for the bumpy road to get there.

Breakfast was great
