Marco Island Manor

The house was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room, there is a dining area inside and outside and the area is very quiet and peaceful. Check-in was very easy and straightforward. The location is great. Its around 15-20 min walk to the public beach (Marco Beach) and pretty central to explore different parts of the island. Being within walkable distance to the public beach access points is important because parking on Marco island is a nightmare.

The coffee machine was broken so we had to run to Target and buy a new one to use during our stay. The gate in front of the main entrance door has a lock that can only be locked and unlocked from inside so if you accidentally lock it when you leave - you ll be locked out. If it happens after hours good luck getting help. The checkout is at 10AM, the management company wont let you check out even a minute later, but you are still expected to take out trash, remove the sheets, place them in a washing machine, load the dishwasher, in other words wake up at 8AM and clean the house according to the instructions even though you have paid exorbitant cleaning fees.

This was a fantastic location. Sitting on the dock was very relaxing. It is a fairly short walk to the beach. The king bed was comfortable. There was a good assortment of kitchen appliances. The stovetop, oven, and microwave all worked great.

The Keurig had a hole in the water reservoir. My wife was able to implement a temporary fix with waterproof watercolor tape. There were no paper napkins. There were no facial tissues. I could not re-line the trash cans when we left because there were no more kitchen trash bags. The entrance lock was not intuitive. I am accustomed to automatic locks actually unlocking the door rather than engaging the knob.
