Clos des Dames de Lancharre

Het was een mooi appartement en heerlijk zwembad

De ontvangst was niet naar wens want er was geen gastvrouw aanwezig. En verdere info en de sleutel hebben we op eigen gelegenheid uitgezocht. Daarnaast was de douche verstopt met haren en de keuken miste diverse gangbare inventaris zoals bakjes.

Lovely conversion of a historic property. Unlike many rentals, this had a wonderful interior design. In a beautiful hamlet of properties with permissive walks right from the door. Great for our dogs!

Only issue was very slow internet connection, which prevented some work being done online and also prevented some investigation into the area. Seems the internet goes down at various times of the day. This would prevent us staying in the future, as we both need strong internet for occasional work activities.

If there was a perfect place that had that "home away from home" feel and located in a gorgeous corner of France - the Clos des Dames de Lancherre comes close to mind. We have stayed at many properties in the past - but never one that is so beautifully decorated, with personal (and very refined) design touches, and with rich furnishings (including kitchen ware) that has everything one could want. Ample parking place, gorgeous little Burgandian village with some really nice countryside walks. We couldn't have asked for a better place to welcome 2022. And Jules, the proprietor, made the experience all the more hospitable and welcoming. We look forward to going back !
