Clean, modern decor, a croissant for breakfast and treats from the downstairs bakery. Policoro is a town on the outskirts of big agricultural area with large farms, which I walked to the next day en route to Tursi. So it feels a bit like the Central Valley of Fresno. But I love the fact that there was a bakery just underneath this place. It smelled wonderful.

I think there are two rooms, one facing the garden and park and one facing the street. I had the street, but it was just fine. A quiet area. Real people.

Check in was easy and all the information was given to us by text message. Our rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. Our room had a little kitchenette with a refrigerator and stove top. Our host was responsive when we asked for an extra pillow and brought one to us. Breakfast was lovely and there was juice and water in the refrigerator, jams and nuttela, and the best part was the fresh pastries from the bakery next door waiting for us in the morning! Be aware: If you have mobility problems, there are many stairs to the room. There appeared to be an elevator, but it was not being used so you may need to contact the host. There is free public parking in front of the B&B. Good value for the money
