Great location for the national park

Fantastic location! It's so near to the national park. We took a short drive and walk after dinner, and we saw the Kilauea eruption.

It would be nicer to have a dishwasher.

Cozy, (but not small), comfortable, convenient - all was good!

The space was more than adequate. Kitchen had all the basics, and nice space. Bedrooms were cozy. Location was wonderful, so close to Volcano National Park. Neighborhood was quiet. Best was that, after I left the code to get back in inside, I had to call for help and Vacasa came through, a great relief!

The stove in the living room for heat could have used instructions on how to use it.

We all in the group had memorable vacation and this cottage provided a nice place for rest.

1. The property is located in quiet neighborhood in residential area, and I felt safe. It is about 2 miles from the property to the national park, and visiting the park is the purpose for this trip - 9.8 in 10-point scale. 2. The kitchen has all necessary tools, cups, etc. we need - 9.8 in a 10-point scale. 3. Towels, bed sheets and pillows are clean and no smell - 9.8 in a 10-point scale. 4. Rooms is clean and comfortable - 9.8 in a 10-point scale.

We arrived in mid Nov.,and the weather in the area rains or drizzles on and off all day long. 1. Water pressure is a problem. At some point, we had to wait until toilet's water tank filled up before washing hands. The problem was fixed the next morning (yes, the next morning !!!) - actually it was just getting better, and not completely fixed. Because the next day or two I saw the issue again but it was not as bad as the first one. 2. When we arrived we saw a sign of "Please remove your shoes" in living room, and we followed the request of taking off shoes and walking in the room without shoes. However, the present a safty issue - one of my guests fell flat on the floor. 3. Since it rains or drizzles on and off all day long in mid November, the wooden stairs outside to the property are wet all the time without anti-slippery strips. Those 4 ( or 5) steps are the most frightening to me when I came in or stepped out the house.

great proximity to volcano National park. there is parking. staff was responsive to our questions.

the furniture was virtually unuseable. obviously bought second hand if not third or fourth hand and extremely uncomfortable. there was a pervasive smell of mold throughout that did not abate with opening up windows.

Superior location close to the Volcano park entry. Quite place, large house, nicely furnished, next to the wood at the and of the road. Sufficient parking place.

Very complicated communication with the property management, many redundant emails, when we arrived, not all dishes were well cleaned. At the end of the stay we had take away our garbage. For this price and cleaning charges that we had to pay, this could have been done by the cleaning person.
