Love the theme of books. Love the location.

As its name suggests, the hotel's theme are books which is very befitting its location in Tokyo's charming book district. Each room, floor, and the reception are decorated with books that guests are free to borrow and read. Most books are in Japanese, but there are a few in various European languages, too. The hotel is perfectly located, just steps away from entrance A1 to Jimbocho subway station, having access to three subway lines which makes the hotel very easy to reach from either airport. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards (mine was 23 m²) and, as usual in Japan, fitted with amenities such as sandals and a night gown. The windows are well insulated, so that is quiet at night. While the hotel is accessible 24/7, the reception is not always staffed. When not, there is a way to pick up room keys and there are also storage boxes for luggage. The staff is friendly, although they speak very limited English. I found this hotel to be extremely good value, it is easily possible to pay more for a smaller and less central room. I will happily return.

It would be nice to fit the rooms with a Nespresso machine.

View from window facing the opposing walls was awful, no fresh air no light, basically you live in a room with no windows. An iron was denied at first, and provided only on the second day with the help of two desk girls and 30 minutes spent with us explaining and them searching for it in various locations inside and outside. No coffee and only green tea. Rather low room temperature and the old conditioner gave strange odour
