Toyoko Inn Hiroshima Ekimae Ohashi Minami

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. You check in at a machine that has several languages available, and the staff are standing by ready to help if needed. There are vending machines in the lobby and a convenience store nearby. I took the tram to the memorial park, ferried round trip to Miyajima from there, and walked back to the hotel through the street market.

The station is close, but just faraway enough to make it difficult to walk with luggage, especially if it's hot or rainy - but too close for a taxi (although I did hire one for the way back to the station and the driver did not seem annoyed at all). The surrounding neighborhood is sparse and sleepy, but I found a great okonomiyaki restaurant a few blocks away. In the future, I would probably opt to stay in a more lively neighborhood and I would stay longer in this beautiful city (I only had 2 nights - 1 full day).

- Breakfast could be brought to the room. - There are laundry facilities. - Easy check in and out.

The room is too small, but okay for short stays.

we stayed in a few toyoko inn hotels, every single one was perfect, good locations, lovely staff, nice clean rooms, i think on our asia trip we stayed in maybe 4 of these, and every one was good.

Hotel was close to the station. Easy to get around and go out to restaurants, bars and busy areas. Small room, but plenty of space and clean. Had laundry in the building, but we did not use it, so cannot comment on that. Breakfast had lots of options and was tasty.

Bed was really really uncomfortable. Was happy to only have spent 2 nights there because of that. Large building with many floors and only had one elevator.
